Congrats to Yuta, wild it took this long tbh, he’s been solid through the good and bad of this season.

Love it. How can you not root for this guy? He plays so hard and tries to make the right play every time. He's finally looking for his shot more and he looks good out there. His defence is awesome and I hope he can continue to be a really solid bench player for us in the future.

Seems like a great teammate too! Love how excited and happy he gets for his other guys.

KD is the right-handed, American version of Yuta.

Well deserved. Always impressed with Yuta's game and he's starting to put those flashes he's shown together now. Hope he continues to blossom like this in a Raptors uni for years to come.

Typically it will guarantee for the remainder of the season at the minimum for games left with 2 team options at minimum.
Something like:
$399,591 $1,762,796 $1,910,860

I wonder how long the contact is.
If it is 3 seasons (including this year), I assume next year and the year after are ungauranteed for us to be cap flexible. Maybe we are using the remaining MLE of this year to sign him? Better than using next year though.

Re: YUTA. Contract converted.
Good stuff! I think he is def backup material next season. I'm convinced.
We're gonna be paying him peanuts through his prime and he will easily outperform his contract.
One less thing to worry about as we scrounge to fill holes on a budget.

Re: YUTA. Contract converted.
So just to re-visit this.... is trading Thomas/Davis still just imaginary preemptive Lowry trade mistake or are you starting to think there can be other reasons for it.
Gets harder to keep that weak narrative going from some people where they think they know and see missteps...but they don’t know ****.
