Based on what exactly? Our stats look mediocre AFTER playing crappy opponents.

4 game win streak and looking elite again. Sweeping the Nets who are contenders. We are ready. Trade our draft pick for a veteran Center
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Green font?
All the wins are against 500 or below teams (last 15 games)
Brooklyn - No Durant / Harden
OKC - Much better than the G-League?
Orlando - Tanking harder than us
San Antonio - Right at 500
Cleveland - Even with Love, they aren't 500
Washington - Not a 500 team
Golden State - Missing Curry / Green

Any thoughts on trading our draft pick for Tyson chandler? I think we are one average Center away from contending again

i mean, we'll probably get to the finals but unlikely for a sweep tbh.. depends on the matchup but i could see it going 6 or 7 games.

There is no possibility to trade so you know the answer. Clearly green font

But we did beat Brooklyn with Baynes and Harden. We almost beat GSW with Curry and Baynes, if not for Lowry's stupid foul. This team is still solid, we can see they are not able to tank even through resting players. Management tried - you cannot fault them, it was ver clear that was what they did for 2 weeks.

I think our D strategy (especially the zone) relies on a traditional center (Gasol, Ibaka against smaller teams) backed by OG/Pascal help D, that seems to have made all the difference. It's the simplest explanation, it may be the right one. We are somewhat replicating that with Birch/Gilly.

If only Nick starts playing GTJ, and Lowry or FVV of the bench we could see better results. He may do that in the playoffs, or maybe management just wants to keep GTJ resign value under max, or - again, the most simple explanation - appeasing to Kyle and Fred's egos . Who knows...

I think we are an average centre this year, but may only get us to the second round.
Meanwhile, I don't think Trent nor Flynn can be our starting SG next year.

Last year => This year => Next year
Siakam => Siakam => Siakam
OG => OG => OG
VanVleet => VanVleet => VanVleet
Ibaka => Boucher => Boucher
RHJ => Johnson => Gillespie

Powell => Powell/Trent => Trent?
Davis/Thomas => Daivs/Thomas/Flynn => Flynn?

--- => Watanabe => Watanabe? (this is an upgrade)
--- => Bembry => Bembry? (this is an upgrade)
--- => ---- => 2021 1st (this is an upgrade)

Gasol => Baynes => ???? (hopefully an upgrade)
Lowry => Lowry => ???? (would this be a downgrade?)

We are somewhat replicating with Birch and Gillespie on the defensive end, but far from the impact of Gasol on both end.
Furthermore, Trent and Flynn were not able to carry the bench against better teams, which I am not sure they are better than Powell and Davis.

last 15 games.
