Lowry could've been to the 76ers what Gasol was to the Raptors. The final vet piece needed to take that next step. Instead they trade for George Hill. That's like Masai trading for Dedmon instead of Gasol because the cost is cheaper.

I think our opinion is slightly tainted here because Masai didn't get what he wanted, thus Philly must be in the wrong. But, if it's Championship or bust with Philly, I think there's sufficient reasonable doubt that Lowry would not have made a difference.

ATL is a decent but not ready team that has no business sniffing the ECF, but here they are one game away. If the Sixers are having this much trouble, I'd argue Lowry is not the difference maker. Adding Lowry may have allowed them to squeak past ATL but they likely still lose against MIL or BKN, which means they still don't achieve their goals.

I disagree. This may be the general opinion from us as fans but I'm sure Philly gm/owner/coach all atleast believed they were a legit contender with no one but Brooklyn in their way. They had the best record in the east and the mvp if not for games missed. Like someone said before us trading for Gasol was that last piece we needed to just perfect the team Lowry talent and impact is much higher than gasol's

I actually came onto realgm to talk exactly about this. Such a joke those teams were for not trading for Lowry. Especially the Lakers lol.

With the Lakers knowing they were going to Drummond, I really have no clue why they held onto Harrell. That being said, I'm still not positive the Heat or Lakers would have faired much better with Lowry. They could have used his fire, sure, but both teams were still pretty overmatched.
