unless 'Sota is ready to trade Edwards or separate best buddies D'Angelo and KAT then I still cannot see what they could offer that could beat FVV + Dragic+Boucher+ couple of picks OR CJ+Covington+picks

That's basically what Krawczynski said, instead the Timberwolves are hoping the 76ers would covet Minny's unprotected first round picks which he admitted wouldn't help the Sixers win a championship in Embiid's prime (unless they flip the picks later).

Realistically there's no package we could offer that for Simmons that would benefit the Sixers now either unless it's a drastic overpay. FVV doesn't move the needle for them. Embiid given his injuries isn't going to have a long career his window is probably very short probably. They should have offered more for Lowry last year. They definitely aren't getting Damian Lillard for Simmons nor Beal.

My guess is it will come down to one of these combinations:
- Raps: FVV & PS for Ben and Maxey
- Portland: CJ & Covington for Ben
- Cavs: Sexton, Love & futures for Ben
- Sac: Hield, Haliburton & Mitchell or Fox & Mitchell for Ben

Unless Minnesota is willing to part with Kat or Edwards, I don't see any other pieces Sixers would be interested in.

I think GSW is holding onto their assets for a shooter like Dame, Beal or Kat, if they become available during the season.

>Sixers and Embiid's knees cannot go for another injury-prone/BIg Love and inexperienced Sexton
>That Kings package is too much like a rebuilding one, no?. None of them have playoff experience and none can defend outside of rookie Mitchell
>Remove Pascal from your package and keep FVV as the main piece and your first two trades look like the only ones that would make sense 'more less'

I just cannot wait to see the players involved in the future trade to then LOOK BACK at all of our chats! I just cannot wait, I will keep refreshing for the announcement until then

Who on our team would we trade for Simmons that actually makes sense?

I think the only player that'd make sense for both teams is a package built around FVV + Boucher + Fillers for Simmons.

I'd hate to see FVV go though, that one would hurt

Yup

If Washington finally gives up and goes full rebuild as they should
then
to Kings : Simmons
to Sixers: Beal
to Wiz: Hield + Maxey+ Bagley+Mitchell(or Haliburton) + picks
fillers here and there.

I dont think Morey would complain

Barnes and Siakam seem to be more redundant than Simmons is with either of those two players. Simmons can operate like a legitimate PG in the NBA. Both Barnes and Siakam seem like a better fit at the PF position, where they are not being asked to guard C's all the time. If either have to be used as a small ball C for extended periods of time, it could become a problem for the team.
Simmons consistently operated as a basic PF in offensive situations. He's not a point guard in the half court against decent defenses. His playmaking only shines in transition

Why trade for him if he has no desire to come here? He has shown that he is a diva and malcontent.

He may be under contract but I could see him holding out or demanding a trade next offseason. He’s not in our long term plans so this wouldn’t make sense.

Why not just do a straight Simmons+Maxey for Beal?

Kinda makes sense for both teams.

You are right and it would look like a deep competitive team! (if both Dinw and Bryant fully recover)
PG Dinwiddie|Holiday
SG KCP|Maxey|Kispert
SF Simmons|Avidja
PF Hachumira|Kuzma|Bertans
C Bryant|Harrell

I think that was more of a function of being on the court with Embiid. When Embiid was out with an injury, I think they let Ben drive more, like Giannis. In an offence built around him, the focus would be on him trying to get to the basket, and looking for the open shooters once the defense collapses on him. But he needs to be able to hit FT's (at least around 70%) for him to play that role.

Do you think Giannis would be as passive as Simmons is if he shared a team with Embiid? I have a hard time visualizing that.

Lol, classic Raptors RealGM response to Simmons news.

Reputable bball source for the 10th time: Raptors one of the leading candidates to trade for Ben Simmons.

RealGM: Naw, he's going to the Kings or Wizards.

Sixers have been open in wanting a star or the assets to trade for one in return for Simmons

That trade does neither of the above

Return to Toronto Raptors
