With no raps games for a while

I wanna say I’m on the soccer bandwagon again

In some respects our national men’s soccer team trying to qualify for the world CUP is just like the basketball team trying to qualify for toyko

The most talented team… one that keeps on disappointing

That Davies goal was fire…. Here’s hoping they don’t follow the basketball team

Hopeful herdman will be better than nurse

Looking really good for 26 as well. Didn't expect us to have this good a chance at 22 with so many youngsters. The energy was incredible yesterday, and this group of players is just perfect for the growth of the sport here.

We got 2 superstars in the making at such a young age. Hope we make some noise.

"In the making?" Alphonso's already a superstar. His passion was unreal that game. You can tell he wants to rep Canada, which is a nice change for a program that's had its share of snubs (I'm still pissed at Owen Hargreaves).

Having said that, it really should have been 6-0. Panama was abysmal and our defending needs to tighten up. Also, a couple of our forwards' decisions with the ball were shocking.

Here's Davies' goal for those that didn't catch it:

He's already the GOAT. BMO was rocking too

been awhile since BMO had a meaningful game or rocking like that.
First time this Men's national team felt the full support of that stadium.

I thought Davies was 20 years old not 26, he is only getting started.
That speed was incredible.

He's 21 next month. I think the post was referring to 2026 world cup.

Let's not forget Buchanan, he's really stood out for me this qualification round.

Shout out to him and his long time girlfriend Jordyn Huitema, who plays with Paris Saint-Germain and the women's national team who won gold at the Olympics. What a power couple!

He is 20 years old and getting better every year. Sky is the limit for him truly.

David is the top scorer in France currently.

Davies is one of the top players in the world period.

Buchanan is moving to a champions league side in January.

Canada has world class talent upfront that can now compete with just about anyone. It was hard for Canada to score goals previously, not anymore.

I don't watch soccer much other than during the world cup, but i started tuning in this year, and I'm amazed at how well Canada is playing.

I saw the goal as it happened last night, and it was amazing to see, as well as the way this team responded in the second half. I started the night with the Leafs opener and didn't switch back once the soccer game started.

I'm definitely getting into the game more and curious to follow Davies and David with their respective club teams.

Bayern Munich snapped him up soon as they could. That fee they paid to the Whitecaps for him is absolutely laughable.

Got an absolutely world class wingback for damn near nothing.

The guy would walk into the United midfield no problem.

Big up, Alphonso!

What happens first Canada basketball making the Olympics or Canada soccer making the World Cup? If we’re being realistic

Tajon is GD stud as well yall!

I want to grab his jersey, but looks like he wears 11/12 for MNT, then 17 for club play, not sure what to do lol

Canada soccer is benefitting from the MLS the same way Canada basketball benefits from the NBA.

The arrival of TFC and then subsequent Canadian MLS clubs has improved player development and made the sport more popular among youngsters.

Same thing happened when the Raptors and Grizzlies joined the NBA.

No reason why a country with Canada’s wealth and resources shouldn’t qualify for nearly every World Cup.

My ticket was a few rows up from where he got the interception. I looked at the replay once I got home, but let me tell you... that action looked even more incredible in real life. Have never seen anything like it.

Davies looked like 2 classes above everyone rlse on the field (maybe except Buchanan who was a class above on his own).

In the defense, Vittorio or what his name is looked like rich man Gonzalez from TFC. Flawless defense.

The organizers should do better the lineups to enter were brutal. But they saved me from seeing the Panama goal live:)

That Panama team though is so unlikeable. Very unsportsmanlike.

Even the last match with Canada, there was some unsavoury activity going on with Panama.
