It’s Barnes and Dragic probably. Although GTJ should start and let Dragic use his strengths on the second unit.

I'm mostly confused why the poll has Svi slotted into the starting lineup for so many options.

My hope is that Trent Jr. starts over Dragic, but I think Nurse is going to Nurse and start Dragic. I'm indifferent who starts at C right now, I think Achiuwa and Birch are going to split those minutes (24/24) regardless.

Our bench looks weak with Siakam and Boucher out of the lineup. Flynn, Yuta, and Svi do not inspire confidence.

I mean, Nurse probably starts Dragic even if it's not what people want.

I think Khem would have started over Precious but it has to be Precious at this stage. Especially considering Khem had all that time off due to covid and looked as rusty as he did.

And dragic is not part of this teams future so he better not be taking any reps away from guys who are here for the long haul.

I'll make jokes about trent being a chucker and what not but he absolutely needs to start. Dragic Fred combo is bad no chemistry and undersized.
Just let scottie be the 2nd pg and take advantage of the shooters around him.

That might be why he's a good fit as the 5th starter, actually. Can just plug into that lineup and blend in, doesn't need the ball and won't call his own number every time like Trent. Allows OG/FVV/Barnes to get the bulk of the possessions still and then Trent can get his touches off the bench.

Masai traded Powell and gave Trent that contract not to hide him but for him to grow with our core. While I do hate his shot selection where he thinks he's better than he actually is, our guys will need to figure it out. It's not like our team is oozing with offense anyways so maybe it works out.

I think Nurse likes to balance who he trusts with experimentation. Balancing controls w variables so he has an idea of what's working and what isn't. Whether its his 2 point guard concept, or having a learning rookie. I see Scottie like a rookie OG from a lineup POV, and OG like Siakam before he took the leap. Obviously each player is unique in playstyle and temperament. But this is the line-up style that I've seen nurse most familiar with. 2 point guards. 2 wings. 1 big. As the season progresses, its gonna be neat to see the 5 swarming 6'10 players, but I think it'll have to be a transition till Siakam/Boucher get back.
