Hey guys, there's absolutely no easy way to pass this message on.

The poster known as The_Hater had been courageously and quietly battling cancer for well over 2 years. He lost his battle 2 days ago.

Due to us being in a few fantasy leagues and on very friendly terms he let me know that his health wasn't the greatest and if disappeared it was not due to him taking off, but rather shuffling of this earth.

He has always been one of my favourite posters.
Regardless of whether I agreed with his takes I always made a point to read his perspective. He'll be greatly missed. **** CANCER!


Anyways, this post and thread sucks balls to create but his passing deserves a mention and tribute. His loss here will be great and the loss to his loved ones certainly immeasurable.

I first started reading his posts on the alt.raptors message board and after that on Realgm - that's going on 20 years. I probably read 99% of his post total because I considered his posts a must read. Wish I had told him that. Wishing his family courage in dealing with this.

Rest In Peace. I didn't always agree with him, but he was a really smart and good poster. Definitely a big loss for the whole RealGM community. His handle, The Hater, is/was one of the coolest and most recognizable ones on the site. Prayers and thoughts go out to his family.

I chatted with him via DM on Oct 4/5 and he never let on he was battling cancer. 54 is way too soon.
