Multiple sources said that the Pacers are receptive in trade dialogue with rival teams centered on potentially moving guard Caris LeVert and either two-time All-Star Domantas Sabonis or center Myles Turner. All three players have frequently garnered significant interest from rival teams. Pacers officials have received frequent calls on both of their big men over the past several seasons, but new head coach Rick Carlisle wanted an opportunity to spend time with Sabonis and Turner and grow with the roster. Even still, Carlisle has remained interested in seeing the frontcourt duo together.

The Pacers are moving toward opening further playing time for Chris Duarte and Isaiah Jackson, the team’s 13th and 22nd overall picks, respectively, in the 2021 NBA Draft. Indiana is 13th in the Eastern Conference and fourth in the Central Division. In 24 games this season, Duarte has shown to be a dependable player on both ends of the court, and is a favorite of Carlisle.

Sabonis complained about Bjorkren's defensive schemes, which is similar to ours so I can't see us trading for him, although I think he'd be great here, offensively at least. Turner would fit well imo but for which player? Trent/Precious package?

I've read Sabonis' numbers don't really impact winning. I haven't looked into the advanced stats to prove this. Is it true?

Myles would be a great fit but the Pacers probably want a lot and he seems to be injury prone.

Turner blocks shots but his overall defensive impact isn't that great. He's going into the last year of his contract next year and he's already making close to 20 a year.

Sabonis is a tweener who isn't good defensively. He plays a spot on the floor the Raps already have covered.

Lavert is a huge injury risk.

All of these guys would be short term solutions and the Raps are after long term solutions.

Other than GTJ, i don't see anyone on the raps who the pacers would be interested in. GTJ can't be moved until March 3rd so I doubt the Raptors would be involved.

Obviously OG and Barnes wouldn't be moved.

edit: as pointed out by @Indeed, Trent can be traded after January 15th.

Not a fan of Turner, he has a 25 pt game and gets some nice blocks and rebounds and than he goes for 5 pts and 2 rebounds the next two games, he is very inconsistent. Not sure how i feel about Sabonis though, he is an all-star center but if his defense sucks like some of you are saying maybe he wouldn't be a good fit.

Do they want Siakam for Turner+? That swap would instantly balance out this team, as I mentioned in the other thread. He is basically the perfect fit here.

How do you convince a rebuilding team that Siakam and his max money would be a good fit. Do they have anyone else who fits this roster that they can add to this trade?

He is a good defender. Opponents shoot under 50% at the rim against him. He also has been guarding the perimeter more (adequately) as he's playing with Sabonis who guards centers. He' s probably about average offensively though. We don't need a 20 point scorer at centre though. Just someone who can rim protect and space the floor adequately. Not a great rebounder though. Siakam is worth way more than him, even at his salary imo, and I don't think they would want Trent as they have good SGs.
