.500 team is doing what a .500 team does. Most of what tonight demonstrated is that the team needs a bench more than anything. They had 3 starters contribute and nothing else.
There's a lot of trade rumours bubbling, too. When the Raptors traded for Ibaka, those rumours were swirling for weeks. The team started losing and DeMar and Kyle openly lobbied in the media for 'help.' Wouldn't shock me if Fred and Pascal pull a similar tactic, because they know that Masai is stingy with FRPs and is unlikely to make any short-sighted moves.

Won't take? What do you mean by that?
He chucks a lot instead of moving the ball around . He'll try and shoot himself out of a flunk.

Pretty much this. Also FVV actively stand in the way of our rookie developing.
Plus this team won't be going anywhere when he gets his max contract of around 5/170 next summer. They're gona be in cap hell after his next deal.
It's a good thing Masai was able to use cap space this year to secure Goran Dragic.

I just pretend that 19.4 that Goran gets is split 10 for Fred and 9 for Gary Trent. Basically our team going forward so we r set in cap he'll already
People complain about our bench but don't realize their cap hits are minimal why you complaining that cheap guys aren't performing way above their contract lmao

Bucks- Yesterday was embarrassing. We will put forth a better effort tonight. Milwaukee missing some key players
Heat-most likely a loss with them getting a full healthy lineup
Mavs-mavericks have been pretty up and down
Wizards-can beat them
Portland-should beat them
Hornets-can go either way
Bulls-probably lose
Heat-probably lose
Hawks-Hawks have been very bad this year. Probably a win.
Heat-Can we steal at least one of three games against Miami?

Maybe he’ll keep one for fit. Either way it sucks because like Danchan said it reduces opportunities for Scottie as long as those two have big egos.
i think masai is very intent on proving to the world that he can build a championship without big-name free agents coming here, and seem to be quite proud of his undrafted players that end up succeeding. I have my fingers crossed but i really think he's going to sign Fred to the max and we would have another 5 years of limited ceiling after this.
And it's not that only that big ego. The problem is that nurse + FVV combination is hell-bent on playing this current ugly brand of basketball. It's not surprising we are at the bottom of the league when it comes to assists. The game is so boring I barely manage to stay interested nowadays unless Barnes is playing.
I'd be surprised if Fred can get a 5 year max. For the same reason Kyle Lowry could never get paid like he deserved until the very end (on shorter term). Still, I expect him to get paid and if he's one of the better players in the league (and he is) than it'll be money well spent. He's also a top 5 leader, after Chris Paul, Draymond, LeBron and Kyle. So, while his counting stats won't merit a max, his intangibles will make up for it.
You can never say never, but I think a good number of you need to start working on coping strategies to deal with more Fred.
I'm not as convinced that Pascal is a long-term piece, just because he occupies a lot of the same territory as Scottie. But, again, Scottie has to develop and prove he can take that spot. So far so good. Even in last night's crap effort he still mustered up a bit of rhythm.

Kyle wasn't loved here, either. The same "mediocre" label thrown around now was thrown around when he was leading the team, too. It's just that Fred talks to the media and they can throw his words back in his face, whereas Kyle didn't.

"Lotto picks only" = purity test.
Fred and Siakam are enemies of the state here because of their age. Fred might get the max. Oh no!
