Cam might break out on this team. Thibs has been looking for anyone other than Kemba, and Cam is more than capable imo. I dont know enough about Kevin Knox to question the return, but im high enough on Cam to think this was questionable for Atlanta. I guess we'll see.

Is he? He's traded his FRP's a few times here. I just think they had no interest in Reddish. Judging by the return, it looks like a lot of other teams didn't as well.

really; traded 3 so far as a raptor, ibaka, dump demare, for kawhi.

worthy endeavours. the Demarre one still a bitter taste in my mouth lol

Rightfully so with our track record of hitting on picks. After thinking it over we should never be trading away our first round picks unless a star is available that moves the needle.

NY acquired that pick from chalotte for the 19th pick in last years draft on draft day.

Cam Reddish has got to be worth more than that

Atlanta already having a fire sale. Back to a rebuild already is crazy. Should we buy Trae Young?

Death lineup

Trae
FVV
Scottie
OG
Siakam

Its interesting;
The Charlotte 1st going to the Hawks is essentially lotto protected for a few seasons before it converts into a pair of seconds.

The Hawks essentially traded Reddish + SRP + Filler for an FRP that will be 14 - 30 and filler;

He's not a forward they need that would have to beat out OG, Pascal, Barnes, Yuta and Champ for minutes.

this is the kind of knee jerk trades bad orgs make, made playoff last year, feel good story, pressured by thibs to get back into playoff.

knicks have all thier picks, had extra firsts (cha and dal); should have made a more impactful trade than get a 6th/7th man.

Depends where we are in the standings. Mid to late FRP's have very little value which is why good teams have no problems trading them.

He's not very good and they got something of value for him? We'd do a backflip if we could get a future protected 1st for Flynn right now.

The Hawks are okay with it not conveying this summer, or they'll probably draft and stash Jovic or Hugo Besson for 1 year to avoid more taxes.

Pretty good trade for Knicks. Kevin Knox is kind of meh and the FRP is well protected. Reddish at least has upside.

I never really got the Reddish hype. He was underwhelming in college playing on a stacked team, and has been a negative impact guy in the league so far. He is trending in the right direction, but enough to commit a decent chunk of change for him via an extension? I'm not so sure about that. I think the Hawks did well to get a 1st for him.

ya the Ibaka and Kawhi trades were great retrospectively. the Demarre Carrol one was sucky but we eventually ended up with Gary Trent Jr anyways (he was in that draft where we traded our first and second rounders)

I wonder if the Pelicans would do a Randle for Zion trade.

I doubt it, but could definitely set the stage for Zion to be traded to NY if he ever gets healthy.
