I would not trade a 1st unless it’s a legit long term piece coming back. We draft too well to throw a 1st away on a short term upgrade.

I’m not opposed to a Dragic + 2nd for Eric Gordon or Levert deal. Shores up some bench issues, gives us a larger movable contract next year, costs us very litte.

Eric Gordon is horrible. I watched the Houston game against Dallas, Gordon is as slow as PF. He is basically playing PF, defending weakside. I am not sure we want his horrible long term contract, where it will put us to the tax (basically Dragic 2.0 contract being longer).

All depends what comes back but I'll take ATL's other young wing (Hunter) for that (not saying they would).

Now that it's looking like we're not gonna be in the lottery, I don't like our odds of someone slipping far enough to us to the point I won't lie, Myles Turner seems a tempting move to make... because I doubt we find someone as good as him 16-18 in the draft. But I'd love to find a young talent still on his rookie contract or just about off of it so he's close to Scottie & OG in age.

Turner wont go cheap, that's really the problem with him.

Too many teams like him, it's not a buy low situation. It'll be fair market or greater.

We're not there yet. Unless that FRP gets you a core piece going forward, we're not there yet for rentals.

Easily:
GTJ, Boucher, Birch + 1st = Beal
Dragic...+...Barnes = Embiid

FVV
Beal
OG
Siakam
Embiid

+ Ring chasers

I will say though IF we went in on Myles Turner, the Raps would have to have at least a handshake agreement that he would sign an EXTENSION -- don't forget he only has ONE year left on his contract.

I wouldn't make that trade without some sort of assurance that HE STAY, if not, no thanks.

GTJ/1st for Turner would be similar to Ross/1st for Ibaka. It worked out well with Ibaka, but it does not help that the Raptors are thin at SG to begin with. I doubt the Raptors would even offer that for Turner though.

With Fred off guard, that might not be the case going forward. It could be either/or.

I'm with it if he's willing to sign an extension.

Personally wouldn't be so worried about SG, don't forget how good Jalen Harris was looking towards the end of the year but maybe could try trading Precious + Boucher + 1st instead + maybe a 2nd or something. If not and it were Gary, maybe flip Boucher for a late 1st (less likely, maybe MEM but doubtful)/early 2nd (MIN + CLE have several) then draft Julian Champagnie (one of Watson, McGowens, Moore would still likely be there), I'd be more than fine moving forward with that.

Whenever I'm about to do something, I think, 'Would an idiot do that? ' And if they would, I do not do that thing. -Dwight Schrute

Following Dwight's timeless advice my answer to the question: probably not.

I'm all for getting an immediate help piece, not a quick fix but a young vet with upside. First choice would be to move Dragic and Boucher for that player, not FRP

We have that, or maybe not so cheap, but they suck regardless. We need a bench that can score the ball.

Thomas Bryant could be interesting if the Wiz are fully committed to Gafford.
It’s kind of a duplication of Boucher with a little more consistency when healthy.

They surely suck so we need 2 more cost controlled good bench players.

No on principal, but really depending on what were getting.

Highly doubtful it be worth it. Team should be sellers tbh
