This seems to open up an All-Star forward spot in the East. Maybe Pascal will get on the radar as well as Fred? Have to keep winning though, but Pascal has definitely been putting up All-Star numbers.

It’ll be Silver’s choice. Butter him up.

They are pretty close, but Pascal has been more impactful this year.

Brown is listed as a guard for All-Star voting.

So there are 6 forwards that will be selected for All-Star team from each conference:
1) Giannis
2) Embiid
3) Tatum
4) Butler
5) Allen
6) Siakam/Sabonis

So yeah that 6th and final forward spot will come down to Siakam and Sabonis. The only two viable options. Siakam is the clear winner IMO given how bad the Pacers suck.

Note: There's also 2 WC spots so it's entirely possible for Siakam to get one if Sabonis is undeservingly rewarded the 6th forward spot. But that's unlikely since I believe both WC spots will be awarded to guards. (LaMelo, FVV, Garland)

assuming that giannis, embiid, tatum and butler get in automatically, then it prob goes to Allen since cleveland has no represenative and the all star game will be in cleveland. remember its adam silver who decides

just away games for now. Though theoretically he could play home games, but there would be a $5000 fine for each game.

$5000 ain't nothing to him.

Then again, not sure how players on opposing teams would take it if he did play and the fines were paid?

Just very interesting.
