Agreed. Maybe in the summer if they crap the bed a bit and Sarver doesn't want to pay Ayton?

Also, with guys like Bridges and Crowder, they don't really need OG.
And IMO, Raps need OG a lot more than we need a big C with no outside shot.

Loving this first page real estate.
I'm anticipating a few desperation moves in the East in the next few days. The gap from 1st to 10th is surprisingly small, leaving potential for a GM or two to get trigger happy and try to get reinforcements for a playoff run in a wide-open year.

Would anyone here be interested in packaging up Gary and Dragic, precious for KAT? Maybe also a FRP?

yes but Wolves probably are not.
Similar to the Raptors they are a surging team in the NBA.

OG is like super-Crowder tho. And fits with Book and Bridges on the timeline. Jae is 31 afterall.
Ayton would be great with us IMO. What if he develops an outside shot here. He's a good FT shooter, might progress on that front.
FVV
GTJ
Barnes
Siakam
Ayton
Very balanced starting lineup

I wouldn't do the trade from the Suns perspective. I just think if they don't want to pay Ayton this summer (which has been speculated), then they probably don't get a better offer than OG and 1st. Who knows, maybe our first plus Crowder (or whatever the get for flipping him) can get them a cost controlled big (Purtle?).
CP3
Book
Bridges
OG
Poeltl
Cheaper (likely), younger on average and still very good

I don’t think it would take multiple FRP.. GTJ is super talented , YOUNG , elite 3 point shooter, putting up 18PPG, 2stls, as 4th option
But they ARE on a bit of a winning streak .. so.. they probably wouldn’t make a big move like this

T Wolves are desperately trying to make the playoffs - they aren't giving up KAT this season. Maybe if they flame out this season, then they may re-evaluate this off-season.

Dude KAT is a top 10 player in this game, once in a decade type big man who's still only 26
We would have to give them
AT LEAST 2 first round picks (with swaps) combined with probably OG and GTJ
KAT is a 7 footer who is damn near a 50/40/90 guy, has a better handle and ball skills than every other big man in the NBA. We're most likely not going to see another big man with his skillset for years

I think my dream trade is OG for Poeltl + Vassell + 2nd
We shore up our two biggest flaws by acquiring a starting caliber center and giving us guard help off the bench. Also a good move for the future as Vassell is a promising young mid-tier prospect on a rookie scale contract. I guess the Spurs only do this if they really like OG. But a Dejounte/White/OG core is a nice perimeter to build around
Then maybe follow that trade up with something like Dragic + Boucher + two 2nd round picks for Bogdan + Dieng
Bogdan once again adds to our bench depth and I think is a perfect fit with our current roster as a 6th man who can play heavy minutes if guys like Barnes or GTJ struggle in the playoffs. He'd essentially be our backup point guard, and he's a solid playmaker so in a pinch I think that could work. Going from Boucher to Dieng is a downgrade talent wise but Dieng is bigger and would be a nice depth piece, maybe not a rotation guy
FVV / Bogdan
GTJ / Vassell / Bogdan
Barnes / Vassell / Bogdan
Siakam / Precious
Poeltl / Dieng / Precious
Not sure what these moves would mean for our cap space next season, if there's a huge negative future cap implication from these moves then maybe figure out a minor trade or two to shed some money
These moves give us a better chance to compete right now, without giving up any of our future, other than OG but again getting Vassell in return, getting Bogdan, Poeltl would still let us have a young roster we can go forward with

No to Ayton, absolutely yes to KAT. If I’m spending significant assets on a C they need to be able to stretch the floor these.
I don’t see how a trade would work but I would trade multiple 1sts for Towns if it means we don’t have to trade as many player assets. We still wouldn’t have the MVP level perimeter player you need to really be a Finals contender but our “sum of the parts” would be pretty freaking large. Does OG, Dragic, Flynn, 2022 FRP (protected), 2024 FRP (protected) get it done? Probably not.

Towns and Ayton both strike me as moves their respective teams may make in the offseason rather than at the trade deadline.
But who knows?

If kat was available, every single team will be offering their best package for him
Warriors - Wiggins, wiseman, kuminga, moody plus bunch of picks
Raptors -
1. Pascal and bunch of picks
2. 2 of gtj, og and Barnes and picks
Kat will not be cheap at all
