Official All Star Weekend Thread

Post#1 » by Bruin » Thu Feb 17, 2022 3:41 am

Now that we’ve played our last game before the break, we can turn our focus to the All Star weekend festivities

There’s plenty of Raptors representation this weekend so it should be fun to tune in

Friday, Feb. 18 - Clorox Rising Stars - 9PM ET

Scottie will be playing for Team Payton
Precious will be playing for Team Isiah

Saturday, Feb 19 - State Farm All Star Saturday Night - 8 PM ET

Scottie will be participating in the Skills Challenge (1st event)

Fred will be participating in the 3PT contest (2nd event)

Sunday, Feb. 20 - NBA All Star Game - 8 PM ET

Fred will be making his 1st All Star appearance playing for Team Lebron

Hope all our guys enjoy the break and get some much needed rest

I hope pascal enjoys turks and gets some rest. He's been cooking the league for 2 months now without any help from the refs

My prediction....fred grabs ball and dribbles for 25 seconds before letting fire his first shot from the logo :)

I have way more faith in Freddy for the 3pt contest.

Lowry looked mad nervous.
I had a bad feeling from the jump.

FVV my pick to win it this year.

Which Raptor(s) benefits the most from this much needed break?

I gotta say Siakam & OG.

Those 2 plus Scottie and Thad.

Hopefully Scottie fully rests up after the weekend.

Thad should be able to use this time to continue getting settled in

I think everyone will. At least once tge ASG is over, we don’t play till Friday do even Fred can get dome rest.

Barnes has played a ton of ball this year compared to last year. The ASG will give him a chance to be around real stars and interact with them. That will be valuable. And then a nice break after his duties are done.

Og and PS, for sure. Trent, member.

Young...more time to learn playbook will be big for him.

A well deserved break for everyone.

Sucks that Duarte is out. He would’ve been a good partner with Scottie for that challenge.

Hope Cade replaces him

Edit: Nvm he’s being paired with Maxey

Lowry was extremely shy as three point contestant. Fred is probably betting on himself that he' ll win this.

I can live without the dunk contest and actual All-Star game. The 3-point contest and the skills contest is where the excitement comes from now.

Nurse is a basketball junkie, I’m not surprised at all that he is going, in fact it wouldn’t surprise me to hear he spent all weekend trying to scout schemes from YMCA pickup games.
