It's not the first time he's called a Jays game... The reason he's doing it this time is because both Shulman and Tabler's sons have their college/university graduations this weekend.

I turned on for a second tonight, figured it was Ben Wagner. But heard Matt do it in past summers filling in. I always thought he was quite good, low key instead of his Raptors histrionics. Not as knowledgeable as Buck or Shulman or Jerry Howarth but how could he be.

Did he have a color man with him I hope?

I'm tired of his Raptors calls but assumed he'd do well tonight. He was quite good doing a few CFL games a few years ago too, imo

Just turned on a few minutes ago, caught a partial inning. Sounds smooth and competent to me, cited some stats. He's done his homework, he's a professional

That had nothing to do with him and everything to do with Rogers being too cheap to send him to Tampa. He's a good baseball PBP guy, always has been.

Hey man... I thought he was good but I saw some comments that he wasnt and those were the only reasons I could see why. He did great filling in randomly for a sport he rarely ever does.

Never happen,but would be epic to hear Jack Armstrong do a game.
