Siakam + OG on their own is pretty close to fair value, but it doesn't make sense to make an all-in move while giving up our best player.Clutch0z24 wrote:If it were us to trade for him we would have to offer OG + Siakam + 4 Firsts
OG + GTJ + filler + a couple future 1sts. Two young players that have proven themselves with a couple mysteries/potential of a future stud is a pretty solid package for Durant.

That won't get the deal done imo.....Durant is one of the best in the league even with injuries....It cost Nets 4 picks to get Harden who is a not even close the player KD is....It cost Clippers 4 1st for PG as well who also not the same level as KD...
KD unlike the Kawhi situation is locked up for 5 more years....So if you trade for him you are getting him for the remainder of his career with w/e he has left so it will cost the Raptors alot.
Nets will want lots in return for KD especially since they would have just lost Irving and they would basically be in rebuild mode at that point....
Okay...but OG+Siakam is significantly more than what the Nets and Clippers gave up to get Harden/PG. A 2x All-NBA talent + a premier 3+D wing who are locked up for a couple more years + 4 1sts is a massive overpay for any player in the league.

Yeah no brainer. 29 teams probably want him on their team. Other than Barnes everyone should be on the block for KD

OG is worth more than the 7th pick ...

If KD wanted to come to Toronto, obviously he'd fit perfectly here. It's hard to see how we could trade for him without dismantling our team, though.

That would be the only trade I would be happy to send OG packing

Time to play One Shining Moment cause these Nets are done for.
They gave up everything they worked hard to build up after their last failed superteam experiment to put Kyrie, KD and Harden together and a year and a half later they're back to ground zero.
I don't believe in karma but this feels very karmic right now.

Honestly there's no realistic trade package we could offer without completely dismantling the current team at which point we wouldn't be any closer to contention even adding KD.
The funny thing is the Warriors are one of the few teams that could offer a competitive package for KD with alot of young assets going back to the Nets.

KD is signed to a long term deal, I don't see how he has any leverage choosing where he goes. The team that offers a monster package will get him and idk how the raptors do that without gutting the team

Of course he has leverage. No team is going to trade the farm without confirmation from him he wants to be there.

Re: Shams: KD monitoring situation.
I want him but unless KD forces his way here, I think it’s probably Suns/Heat/Celtics at the top.
Suns can center their package around Bridges + Ayton (sign-and-trade) + picks. Heat have Bam + Herro + picks. Celtics have Brown + picks.
All of these packages are better than OG + GTJ + picks.

So Raps get KD for nothing? Awesome deal if this happens
Masai: I hear you're trading Durant.
Marks: What's your offer?
Masai: The chance to say F you to Kyrie by trading his BFF to Canada.
Marks: Deal.

What is he going to do? Sit out the remaining 4 years on his deal? The nets will *probably* do him a solid by asking him for a list of teams but then its out of his control and whoever bids the highest gets him. He doesn't have the leverage to force himself to one team

[Wojnarowski] I'm told that Kevin Durant has not told the Nets that if Kyrie Irving leaves, that means he's going to ask for a trade. What Kevin Durant wants to know, is if Kyrie Irving does walk for let's say the Lakers' MLE, what would a reconfigured Nets roster look like

Could you imagine the sixers squire him? That would be **** hilarious.
Kyrie on the Heat with Jimmy, Spo and Riley. They would go Sprewell on him in the first week.
If those 2 teams are really on Kyrie’s “list” then he is even less self aware than I though imaginable.
