Masai and co sure love their flexibility. I'm glad I'm not them. I have trouble choosing chocolate bars.

16 games until trade deadline including last night vs Charlotte. I guessed our record. I will update after each game.
(17-23)
Jan 10 - Charlotte - W (18-23)
Jan 12 - Charlotte - W (19-23)
Jan 14 - Atlanta - W .... Loss (19-24)
Jan 16 - @ NY - L .... Win (20-24)
Jan 17 - @ Milwaukee - L (20-25)
Jan 19 - @ Minnesota - L (20-26)
Jan 21 - Boston - L (20-27)
Jan 22 - NY - W (21-27)
Jan 25 - @ Sacramento - L ... Win (22-27)
Jan 27 - @ G.S. - L (22-28)
Jan 28 - @ Portland - L …. Win (23-28)
Jan 30 - @ Phoenix - L (23-29)
Feb 1 - @ Utah - W .... Loss (23-30)
Feb 3 - @ Houston - W (24-30)
Feb 5 - @ Memphis - L ... Win (25-30)
Feb 8 - San Antonio - W
Feb 9 = Trade Deadline.
7-9 record as per above (24-32). But lets say we get 2 extra wins and go 9-7 instead, we would be (26-30).
To put things in perspective on Feb 9 of last year (deadline was Feb 10), our record was 30-23.

My guess it’s either MEM or NYK but I pray it’s NOP.

I saw guys on the Utah board suggesting trading their three picks this year protected in some way for OG. Currently they are picking 13,14 and 27 I think. Don’t think their front office is thinking this way but it’s possible.

Masai needs to play hardball. Lots of teams with so many picks stocked up like OKC that has to eventually cash them in, they can't possibly use it all. King's ransom for OG, Pascal, FVV. I'm ok to keep Trent if he wants to stay, good attitude and work ethic.

I still prefer a A prospect + pick over 3 mid first rounders.
Dyson Daniels + LAL Swap + Filler
Sharpe + UNP 1st + Keon Johnson + Filler
These deals I would value a couple notches above a NYK Obi + 2/3 firsts deal

Indiana is still the dark horse.
I wonder if Toronto would do it for Mathurin + 1 future first

I know we all love OG here but damn lol.
I don't think he's worth that much lol.
Pacers hang up and laugh if Toronto ask for Mauthrin and a future first.

I agree with you. I believe in a mix of known quantities and picks over straight picks. Even unprotected picks are overvalued in a way because people seem to treat them as definite top 10 picks when they could just as easily be late 1st round. You can guess at team's outlooks years down the line but really they are like an outside chance at getting a lottery ticket.

Og for Turner, Duarte and their 1st top 10 protected if and and only if Turner is willing to take a reasonable contract and resign here. But if we were going to trade for Turner with OG, it would be better to do it in the offseason when we know the picks position.

You must be on crack if you think OG is worth all that

You can bet Masai feels the same way. I'm sure our FO have young guys they are comfortable with and have both draft and NBA data on, and then the picks are more high risk assets (or can be used in future trades).
I would also guess Masai places a much higher value on 2023-2025 FRPs because they present less risk and they're likely to have prospects in those drafts that they're already tracking.
That's why NO makes so much sense.
Daniels and Murphy are known, projectable prospects, and they have a 2023 FRP from the Lakers that should be in and around the lottery. Add in a NO's own pick from 2023-2025 and you have the basis of a deal.
