Sorry but this deserves its own thread. All those rumours about OG wanting out seemed to have been real. Let's hope we can get a haul for him because it is great timing in regards to when we are trading him.

If it’s the Suns i want crowder thrown in so we can flip him to a contender for another pick

Otherwise I’d prefer a trade with Portland or New Orleans

I put this in the rumour thread but it belongs here.

The one concern with Cam Johnson is he's had 2 meniscus knee surgeries with his latest one being a snip. That likely means that it could become a bone on bone issue and arthritic in time.
Obviously there is risk there so if the raptors are willing to take him on as the main piece in a return for OG I hope it doesn't come back to bite them.

Trading OG can accelerate this rebuild. It would be tough to see him go and I couldn't have envisioned him getting traded this season but the team has struggled and there is a cheaper, younger, more athletic player ready to replace him in the lineup.

A good young prospect and pick(s) would be an excellent return for this team and put them in a great position moving forward.

Hoooo man. Imagine lebron and ad get hurt and they end up being bottom 6 team. You are we continue the tank and shut down Siakam. We somehow get into 5th worst.

Both us and Lakers jump into 1 and 2 positions.

To Toronto: Simons, Sharpe, 2025 POR FRP, 2023 PHX FRP

Send OG to New Orleans instead for a package around that Lakers 1st and Daniels or Murphy + Graham.

I like Cam Johnson BUT who can he really defend, is he a legit starter, 2 knee procedures, 26 already, pending RFA. is he really a fit if we're rebuilding? I'd say no.

Outdated info. OG has pushed the timeline on that. Now you understand Nurse throwing management under the bus when it came tk OG being out for the entire road trip. Sounds like Nurse is on Team Klutch before he's on Team Raptors.

We sure we want Cam Johnson? He's up for a big pay day this summer, and +$20 million in bloat + late 1sts isn't a good return.

Johnson is actually a good defender, would have him above average defender, but not at level of OG/Mikal.
Johnson actually really athletic, maybe bouncier then both OG and Bridges as a reference. He’s not as strong or has a crazy wingspan like OG/Mikal, but he’s always in the right spot.

That said, I don’t see Phx considering moving Cam for OG. Maybe in a deal for Siakam, any OG deal is likely to be draft pick based

If you're trading OG, then you might as well trade Siakam because you're giving up on the near term.

There's no way you'll get enough value to trade for a star without him, and you've also traded away an irreplaceable part of your playoff core.

The only trade that makes sense to move forward with Siakam's timeline is to move off of your low ceiling guards.
