40% 3 pt shooter? Who needs that? 40 pts tonight. Maybe someone should ask this question at the press conference?

I literally hopped on the board right now wondering the exact same thing. Thought it was a terrible trade then, and still do. Watch GTJ walk this summer for nothing too. So many key players from our championship team just lost with nothing to show for it.

They thought Norm was going to be too expensive to re-sign but he ended up signing for the same amount as GTJ. And it was a 5 year deal instead of Gary’s 2.

Norm = dynamic scorer + 39% from 3pt, with huge wingspan, and a love for Toronto second only to DD.

Posters: Norm (29) doesn't fit our timeline.

Our timeline = Fred (29) + Pascal (29)

Same Posters: .... GTJ is 5 years younger and can develop into Bradley Beal

Legit came on here to say the same damn thing. Friggin ridiculous trade that only made sense if we were gonna do a semi rebuild. Not trade 2 1st rounders in 3 years afterwards lol.

Guys GTJ went 1-7 in our play in game, don't worry he's still developing!

Masai's made some pretty bad trades the last few years. Trading for Thad, very weak protection on the Poeltl trade, and this one.

Yup I remember a bunch of them saying this. Made zero sense, they're all the same age. Should've traded FVV and Siakam as well then. He's also on a decent contract, GTJ will ask for more than what Norm makes.

The same ones talking about GTJ being young is better - also talking about draft pick prospects are no sure things.

Could be worse , we could be a team that wouldn’t trade T. mann for Fred. What a stupid non move, Fred on the Clips would have really helped them.

Everyone hates Russ, but I don't think FVV would be able to do what Russ has done against the Suns, he's played quite well this series. His defense has actually been really good.

Fred could manage that team better as a floor general. Russ is tunnel vision. On a team of Vets, Fred plays much differently than he has for our team since Kawhi left.

He had a down year with the team having a disappointing season. Part of the trade was probably for some change for both parties. Let's not act like we were happy with him. His defense really slipped that year as well.

However, it's just another example of this front office missing on a player/trade. Trent has seemed to stall with his development and Powell has seemed to have gotten better. They were wrong on the players contribution levels and were wrong on there contracts as well.

I mean if he was so good and a great floor general, he should've got us past the play in game against the terrible Bulls lol. But thats a different thread, I don't think FVV would've helped this roster led by Norm beat the Suns. They had nobody else tonight.
