Listening to the Athletic nba podcast he says very briefly that the Raptors have called regarding the number 4 pick.

Cam Whitmore or Amen Thompson would be the guy there. Both not the best fits. We have wings out the ass already and a nonshooting guard would be the last thing we need. Only other guard I'd want is Kobe but that's a bit high for him. You don't have to trade to 4 for him.

You're reaching if you're going off the board there. I would only trade up for Scoot and Miller. If both are gone I wouldn't bother. The player crop from 4-13 is pretty much in the same tier imo. All decent but flawed prospects.

But who knows with this front office anymore.

Is Amen Thompson an actual PG? I struggle to see him as PG as opposed to just a wing creator.

I mean, a call is just a call, and the FO should be doing whatever they can in the present regardless of what happened in the past, but...

if there's someone we like that much at 4, it kind of makes the win-now move at the trade deadline even worse.

can't imagine Scoot lasting till #4. Possibly Miller, likely Amen, maybe Black/Ausar/Whitmore?

If Houston is adding Jalen Green into the mix, I'd definitely be listening. But yeah, I don't think it's worth giving up Siakam just for the 4th pick and their lesser young talent.

I'd be really surprised if Scoot made it to #4

Maybe them calling about #4 signals to Portland at #3 that they aren't willing to accept a lesser offer. Who the heck knows with the FO
