Doc Rivers should go back to commentating. He will be great at it and he will make the world a better place.
Monty Williams can't be Toronto's guy. He is just too good, going from a Finals to coaching Durant and Booker. Why would he want to go to Toronto after all that?
Toronto should go after a good young coach like Fernandez, but I think Masai will go for a bigger swing.

At this point just hire someone. There’s no need to drag this out so long. FO has other things to be dealing with right now too

Summary of where the coaching search is at. Let me know if any names are missing or in the wrong section.

Reportedly are one of the finalists:
-Sergio Scariolo (team travelled to Italy to interview him and recently interviewed again)
-Kenny Atkinson (interviewed with the team in Toronto)
-Darko Rajakovic (interviewed multiple times)
-Charles Lee (reportedly is back in the mix after he didn't get the DET job when they chased Monty)
Reportedly no longer in the running:
-Jordi Fernandez (interviewed multiple times)
-Steve Nash (interviewed at least once and was previously mentioned as a possible finalist)
Other Candidates
Reportedly interviewed at least once:
-JJ Redick
-David Adelman
Granted permission to interview, but no confirmation of ever interviewing:
-Mitch Johnson
-Chris Quinn
Reported interest from the team, but no confirmation of team ever requesting an interview:
-Šarūnas Jasikevičius

It’s gonna be Jordi.
Who’s the assistant gonna be?
I’m thinking Sergio as lead assistant, as he’s been interviewed too. He’s got the X and Os and continuity.
Earl Watson as the second main assistant.

If Boston loses, Monty probably goes there.

In the end, I have no clue who is good. I don't think any of us really know

Since it's taking so long, I figured they were waiting for Adelman to finish his run with Denver, but who knows.

I'm down for Jordi if it means moving on from the core. Trade Pascal for #3 or #4, then sign and trade or let Fred walk.

I'd be very comfortable with Monty too. Proven coach, good person, players coach. Would make our franchise look respected again.
Jordi might be great though

Jordi's up there because of Sac's play this year. A lot of that's just them adding Sabonis and Hueter. He's Ok though, well respected at least.
The Nash and Doc talk though...that's a path I'm not sure I'm OK with.
