The game is not being streamed by SportsNet or Fiba , there is a German Broadcaster but it doesn't let Canadians register for their broadcasts.

Any ideas on how to find a stream ?

+ 1 for whoever has the best solution.

Is the game actually being broadcast on tv though?

Yes -through a German broadcaster , but Canadians can't sign up for the content ( even with a VPN )

Magentasport.de is the German rights holder for these three games (and the World Cup).
They are streaming the games live, but in order to sign up for an account one needs a German address (seems ok to fake one) but also a German Credit Card or Paypal account. This is what I don't have a solution to.

I'm not super saavy with "alternative" streaming, and would love some guidance on what sites usually work and are more reliable. Lots of sites list they game but who knows if they will actually work or not.

I emailed Sportsnet (https://www.sportsnet.ca/contact-us/) a couple days ago (as mojo had suggested in the Team Canada thread) at feedback@sportsnet.rogers.com which they state is for programming inquiries and feedback.

Obviously haven't heard anything from them yet (and probably never will) but might be worthwhile to spend 2 minutes sending an email asking why the F they aren't broadcasting the exhibition games.

Looks like Buffstreams will be streaming it, they've got a working link to Finland vs Estonia happening right now so I'd imagine Canada vs Germany should be good to go once it starts. The stream link doesn't usually appear until like 5 minutes before it starts.

I hope posting a link here is fine, as there is no legal way for us to watch it so no one is being hurt.

Canada Basketball Intsagram just posted a roster for today's game. One interesting omission for me - no Edey.

This would be broadcast if basketball ratings warranted it. Bell and Rogers won't do it unless its profitable I guess.

Courtside 1891 picking it up last minute.
For anyone new to this, this is a paid subscription, FIBA affiliate and you can watch a tonne of basketball including all WC games.

Keep an eye out for Geo blocks - as if you are in a country that has the rights to the games, they will not be shown here. But adding a VPN and entering another country with it usually solves the problem. YOu sometimes need to move around a bit to find a country that iwill be showing the game.

For example, I can;t access this game from the USA and need to tunnel into Canada to access it. Seems they are just giving it to Canadains (likely due to Canada Basketball pushing).

Add now it has been removed from Courtside.

I swear they had a "Watch" button on the game and now it is gone. Back to the "alternatve" streeams I guess.

Yeah, I just noticed that. There are a few games going right now (including Serbia-Italy), but no Canada game.

You'd think this stuff would be easier by now in 2023.

Is it just me? The first link (no flag) just shows a blank grey screen and the second link (german flag) says "Deleted"
