i know i can't be the only raptors fan who's more excited about barrett's impact on the team. he fits like a glove, fits barnes' timeline and has his father here who will be monitoring him like a hawk. it was only a year ago he was considered part of the core the knicks were building around.

Quickley. He's the better player, and the one who fits Barnes better. As a combo guard, Barnes ability to playmake allows us to have Quickley play as a PG and as a scorer.

Quickley, of course. RJ could work out but he's more than likely a stop-gap solution for now. Maybe he's revitalized a bit and shipped out a year or two from now.

Quickly-Barnes-? is the young trio in the making we are looking to build. Just need that 3rd piece who can be all-star level and fits their timeline. Who that is, it's hard to say.

Quickley is good, Barrett is bad.

So Quickley.

The hope is that Barrett can be a consistent contributor worth his contract.

Uhmmm...

Immanuel Quickley, obviously. He's literally the key to this trade and has the potential to be the best player in this deal. RJ Barrett was a miscast high USG player who was overpaid based upon his potential, which he's never lived up to. He's the "gulp" we have to swallow, so that we can get the player with the most upside in the deal. I mean, you can get excited that RJB is from Toronto, that's neat and stuff, but from a basketball standpoint he's the lesser talent of the 3 major players in this deal and currently an overpaid 6th man type.

Are you more excited with :

A) Player with value and upside
B) Salary filler

Inquiring minds want to know.

Quickley was the main piece of the deal. RJ is a nice throw in, but realistically the main hype is that he's Canadian as opposed to his potential or basketball skills

I'll be rooting for RJ to shake off the overpaid and inefficient stigma around him.....I'm more excited for IQ though, he gives off Maxey vibes and we need someone like that to be paired with Barnes.

Quickley is the much better player.

I'm still intrigued by the slim possibility of "fixing" RJ, but he sucks right now.

Both. Why choose one over the other?

It is Quickly for virtually everyone including me but I think I like Barrett way more than most and I think he also helps with the overall mentality of the team. We need guys that care and we need guys that value being here that are rotation pieces. We had Demar, then Kyle. It has an impact to have a guy on the team that truly wants to be here above anywhere else.

Voted for IQ..
But the value of RJ is very close to the value of IQ!

Barrett is a throw in. He’s widely seen as an overpaid, inconsistent player that was the Knicks version of Precious. He’s still young, so he can potentially develop, but he could also soon be hated here. I’m not holding out hope he becomes anything.

Quickley is the centerpiece. Masai probably sees him as Costco Maxey. We need him to develop.

Barrett by far. He no longer has to clash with Randle/Brunson thats what led to him forcing offence as soon as he got the ball. He has the tools id like to see him attack more downhill and how Darko uses him.

imma let you finish.. but nah fam.. this isn’t why he sucks at all lol. randle actually often found him open a bunch and would routinely kick it out the rj when double teamed only for him to clank more than hit his open looks. knicks also often staggered him with the second unit and he still wasn’t really any better. the kid has mamba mentality with role player skill set. hoping he can be reigned in but it might be too late for that

Yeah the team needs more players' fathers hanging around monitoring their son's play. The Raptors should do one of those Dad's weekends like the Leafs do.
