Is this the most talented team we have ever had?
Not including the Kawhi championship run cause that was an anomaly year.
Barnes and Quickley combo could dominate for years to come(assuming we will do everything to keep both). I feel like this is now the team that every team in the east should be absolutely scared of for years to come.
The question is, is this the most talented team we have had? I feel like this this core stacks up to the early days of Vince/Tmac era...

Too soon to tell but it’s definitely the most fun post Lowry team so far

Most talented? VC/TMac.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

on paper it looks nice but they have to prove it with actual results (winning). In theory Barnes/Siakam/IQ can be an allstar trio.

Too many victory laps (aka jinx threads) after 2 wins. Impressive wins? Yes. Mediocre opponents? Also yes.
I do think IQ is what we have been missing though. So far so good.....damn good actually.

Are we talking duo's?
Barnes+IQ has the chance to be up there, but they still have a lot to prove.
The overall team isn't good enough at this point to be compared to some of the best in franchise history.

yea way too early to tell. Demar/Lowry for all their faults consistently made the playoffs and even made the conference finals. They could have made it further in some years depending on when we faced lebron.
This team needs to make the playoffs before we start crowning them

2019/2020 team would sweep this current team in a 7 game series

Depends what happens with Siakam.
Barnes/Siakam/Quickley trio should easily make us a winning team.

What in the hell is this lmao.
The team that won a chip was an absurd amount more talented.
This is the Jak trade last season all over again, mediocre competition, and victory laps that it was a good trade, just to see how impressively bad it was mere months later.
IQ is exactly what I expected, I'm just happy with that. We are still in developmental times, we just need to shed the last remnant of the "win now" era.

Re: Is this the most talented team we have ever had?
The most talented teams we had were in the 2017-2018, 2018-2019 and the 2019-2020 seasons and it's not even close.
2017-2018: Lowry (high impact all-star/borderline superstar), Derozan (all-star), OG ( 3+D player), Ibaka (elite 3+D big man), JV (very good offensive center and rebounder), Siakam (high-level role player), Fred (high-level role player), Norm (high-level role player), Myles (high-level role player), Delon (good role player).
Just a crazy deep team with a ton of a talent from top to bottom, featuring 10 guys who could legitimately start on most NBA teams.
2018-2019: Lowry (high impact all-star/borderline superstar), Green (elite 3+D player), Kawhi (superstar), Pascal (borderline all-star player), Ibaka (elite 3+D big man), Gasol (former DPOY, strong 3 point shooter, and great passer), Fred (6th man of the year type player), OG (young high-level 3+D player), Norm (elite bench player).
Really had no weakness at any position and a very strong bench. One of the best defensive teams of all-time with a great offense as well.
2019-2020: Same team minus Kawhi and Green, but Siakam, Fred, OG and Norm all improved with bigger roles with Fred emerging as a borderline star, Siakam emerging into an all-star and both OG and Norm becoming elite role players.
Team chemistry was incredible to watch and we are able to squeeze out the last highly productive year out of Lowry, Ibaka and Gasol.

Tmac/VC was talented. Two superstars, just weren't together long enough to materialize.

Same could be said with VC and Bosh, they never really got to play with each other long enough

Most our teams with Lowry were just due to Kyle. He an MVP caliber impact in some years.

You all need to calm the f down. Let's see what 20 games looks like, not 2. Wow, I swear it's either 12 year olds posting or the lowest iq possible.

So would most of this year's playoff teams.
2020 Raps would be no contest

I may be a homer, but I'm confident that if COVID-19 never happened and we were healthy, that team had a strong shot at making the finals and even winning the chip with a bit of luck.
The bubble killed Pascal and Gasol returned back washed. No way we lose to Boston with Pascal playing like he did before the bubble and Gasol playing at a high-level. We were a bad match-up for the Heat, and we were honestly a bad match-up for the Lakers given how good Gasol was against AD and guys like OG/Siakam got stronger and matured into really good defenders who could at least slow down an older LBJ.
Shame we couldn't see that playoffs without COVID interfering.

I would argue this is the most talented young core we have ever had... which is crazy.

Re: Is this the most talented team we have ever had?
Besides Vince era, poll doesn’t reflect initial thread question. As far as collective talent, I’d say this team. But then again that’s just based on talent right, doesn’t mean anything. Pairing, obviously Kyle and Demar
