Feel like we should retire Lowrys jersey first and then Vince's. Might as well do Demar after that since he had to be sacrificed for our championship lol.

Definitely not VC because of how he left. Should be Lowry first and then Demar.

#7 and #10 have not been worn since they left btw.

No retired player worth doing it for. Yeah, that means no Carter.

Lowry should be first. I would do DeMar and Kawhi next. But no one else.

We can both retire Kawhi. 2 birds with 1 stone.

Lowry, DeRozan, Siakam, maybe Kawhi... I know he led us to our first championship, but feels kinda weird/desperate retiring a player's number after only one season. I'm on the fence with Vince, but think it happens, I'd retire him before Bosh... Bosh was such a d*ck to the city/country after he left... Plus Scottie is #4 now, so lol.

Next season is 30th Anniversary Season (just remember all the festivities and promotional stuff from 25th anniversary and 20th anniversary). VC will likely be inducted to the HoF this year on first ballot. His induction will likely be celebrated as very "raptor" centric and he'll say some stuff in his speech to thank Toronto/Canada. I expect his jersey will be retired during the 30th anniversary season, and I'm all for it (I've had my season tickets for so many years for this one moment, third to attending Finals games and Ring ceremony)

I dont blame it all on him for how he left. The organization was a sh^*% show at that time. The dude drafted Hoffa with the 8th pick because he felt he had the "Hockey mentality" that Toronto fans would like. Anyways, forgive and forget - he's been all love to Toronto for a long time since then.

That's what people said about Shaq never getting his jersey retired by the Magic. He arguably left them on a worse note than Vince did the Raptors. Obviously the Magic now changed their mind.

Vince will get it hung up at Scotiabank but not before Lowry.

They need to reward Lowry first for delivering.

It's not about Championship and how Lowry meant to the franchise in his era here. It's about how VC put Toronto on the map. I was working in Silicon Valley,, California in 2009 with bunch of college grads at an accounting firm and I had people tell me they have no idea where Toronto is and the only thing they knew about Toronto was Vince Carter and this was 4 years after he was traded. Those 3.5 "healthy" years of VC were magical for such a young franchise.

Because our franchise holds grudges against how people left when our organization surrounded them with garbage for half their careers.

There is literally a documentary on Vince's impact on Canadian basketball as a whole and what's led to the new generation of Canadian NBA players.

Nah not Vince, he was a great entertainer nothing more and he left on a bad note dogging it, quitting on the city and his teammates Mr" dunk is overrated" then the mfer started dunking with the Nets. Only one should be retired is Lowry for his loyalty, professionalism and passion, although DeMar didn't win his trade instrumental in bringing the team the title, I would also consider him because of his loyalty to the city

There's no question VC put Toronto on the map and got the youth movement going. He was a superstar on Kobe's level for a little while. I just think they are going to reward Lowry first with being the first jersey retired for Toronto for delivering a chip. The championship is significant.

Yet Pierce and Dirk toughed it out until the right pieces were added. Vince will always be the underachieving never was, great entertainer but he was not that guy. Did Vince even care about the city or took pride playing for the Raptors? Not that I know of.

Book it, you'll see when the HoF stuff starts getting promoted (it already has), there will be many NBA players calling for his jersey to be retired by the Raptors. The build up will lead to the organization probably doing something next season to supplement the 30th anniversary celebrations.

I'm a basketball fan because of Vince Carter and so are a lot of people I know.

But, check his stats with the Toronto Raptors in 2004-2005 and then check his stats with the Nets after he was traded, in the same season. There's a reason he gets the flack he does.
