Chris Boucher

This dude has nose dived the past couple of games and I'd argue he is the reason we didn't beat the Lakers (in spite of the ref job) and Clippers.

He has become a turnover machine, and has shot a bunch of airballs.... Pretty deflating stuff for the rest of the team when he does his bone headed moves...

We need a SERIOUS upgrade at the backup C position. Boucher cannot be trusted....

He had three turnovers in a row during the Lakers game and Darko yanked him out right after.

His per 36 min numbers have dipped in almost every category compared to last year. I think it's time to ship him out with other pieces while he still has some value.

You can't play him vs certain lineups.

So that's even better. You take those 3 turnovers from that one game and he's then had 1 turnover over his last 9 games.

Boucher is what he is, an energy big who has good games and has meh games. That's why he's paid 11 and 10 million dollars (this and next season)

We definitely could use more depth for sure.

He's literally one of the best backup bigs in the league and has been for a very long time.
Some of y'all have have unreasonable expectations.

Last night they played him some mins at Centre which just can't happen. He is a good role player as long as he sticks to his role. He is fine when he sticks to rebounding and shooting wide open 3s.

We have to keep him, extend him as a key bench piece (a young veteran  ).
He must have had too much fun in LA with Snoop Dogg.
He was great in San Francisco though.

You can move him, when you have a suitable replacement. We know that if we trade Siakam we are getting multiple pieces back. It's why we have a spot open. Once or if that happens, we can go from there depending on the return. Or for all we know, he could be part of the deal.

Sadly right now, we need to keep him. Good Boucher often changes the energy of the game in our favor. Bad Boucher should not play.

We cant be investing 10 Mil on a backup center when we are paying Jakob over 20 Mil. Just not the right use of cap space in a league that is about guards and stretch 5’s that can defend and shoot. He is too thin and will probably get more in the market in free agency from a team needing a center. I would trade him now or in the summer to get cap relief to use on SF/PF depth. Player like Jontay can provide what Boucher is providing at a fraction of the cost.

Except Boucher hasn't really been the backup 5 on the team. It was Precious and now it's Porter.

Boucher is often used to spell Siakam.

10 million in today's NBA is really very little.

Matchup guy with major flaws. Not worth spending $11M on.

I always give a long leash to Canadian's on our team... and the benefit of the doubt to our Champs..

That said, I too am ready to move on. He's way too hot/cold in terms of on court impact. And i'v enever liked his 'I'm open from 3 in this moment? Bomb's away!' mentality...

He had a great game against GSW, who has 'always liked him' according to Shams... so there may be something there?

On the flip side.. we're thin up front... Poretr looks aight, I guess, but don't think we can trust that. If we knew Koloko was close to returning, that would help, but again, don't know if we can trust that. If we have plans to sign Biyombo, that could help I guess. I dunno.. we kinda need him right now, especially with Jak down... I just don't want to be in an Aaron Baynes situation ever again.. can't have a talented team waste away due to the lack of a somewhat capable C.... just too deflating to everyone else's spirits.

He offers next to nothing if you ask me. Dragging his feet for turnovers, constantly jumping out of the play, poorly advised shots, air balls, no boxing out and the offensive put back as a cherry on top occasionally. It's a not a bargain contract. I'm just waiting for him to pogo stick onto one of our guys and injure them in the paint. I've rarely seen anyone play with less body control. 10 million for half of the Boucher-Precious hive mind is not a good deal. For a vet, he's the opposite of a line-up stabilizer. He's got extreme tunnel vision of the sort of we are slowly purging from our team. Like him or not he's one of the guys who's on the way out. I'd much rather have Porter signed on a very reasonable deal. Only one time this year as he offered up two games in a row where he wasn't an obvious problem. He just followed that up with two real stinkers that may have cost us one game in impact.

He's been a bit inconsistent this year to be sure, but I still think he provides good value for his contract.

If Siakam is dealt, I would hope we could attach Boucher and/or McD's salary along with him and find a replacement either in that trade, or via FA since such a Siakam deal would presumably open up cap space.

He's not the worst, but he's also in his year 31 season and on the decline.

I think he could have value to some teams at the deadline. But I don't think we're in a position where we have to move him - only if a deal benefits us, and ideally gets us someone younger to work with.
