Freeman-Liberty, when a chance for him?

Nobody talks about this guy, and I honestly don't understand why.
We are not faced with a superstar, obviously, but I find it absurd that he hasn't played even a single game with the Raptors (considering that we demonstrated, before the trade, that we are an absolutely insufficient team) and that he has been relegated to the G-League .
Many are focused on Nowell (who however good he is, has a very small physique), but for me the real gem is Freeman-Liberty.
I believe that if we can get him into the Raptors as soon as possible, he could become an interesting rotation player.
I think he could have a Gary Trent Jr.-type career.
But we can't keep keeping him in the G-League. By the way, in G-League he is keeping very important numbers (even if this doesn't mean much).
Furthermore, he seems to me to be a very humble boy who really works hard on himself, fundamental qualities.
It's true that we have a lot of guards now, but Trent could be traded.

I really like him. I think he could add some punch.
Problem right now is that Schroeder and Trent are ahead in the depth charts.
Our needs are more in the front court now.

He was injured right after the gleague season started. When he plays he posts decent numbers.

This! Really he's improving his outside shooting and the Raptors are in no rush now with IQ and Schroder. Next year he can take Garrett Temple's roster spot.

When there is an injury or trade opening up a backcourt spot

I think the main consideration is that he simply would not get enough burn with the Raptors to where it benefits rather than slows his development.
He’s a combo guard with underdeveloped playmaking skills and inconsistent shooting. Playmaking isn’t going to improve without a lot of in-game reps and he needs to be able to take shots in the game to see if his shooting practice translates. In the G-League he has a 28% USG%.

Not sure if you know, but "Freeman" as a last name was a last name often adopted by freed slaves, same thing with "Liberty".
So. Yeah.

I agree, we should be giving more of these G-League players a look. We're not playing for much this season anyway. So that should be a part of what they prioritise with the rest of this season. It truly doesn't take that time to see if they simply belong or not and you just cycle through them till you hit on some. Better approach than keeping a guy like Mcdaniels rostered who has just been a mediocre player for years now. You might not even have a high hit rate, the majority of these guys may well just wash out, but just getting it potentially right on a few, like a Porter, will be worth it in the long run. And I still think Dowtin could've been a better bench piece compared to keeping Malachi on, but what's done is done there.
JFL may well not make it, but you don't know for sure until you give him a chance.

He's pretty meh. If we're really out of it after the trade deadline, you might see him then. But I doubt there will be more callups unless we get hit by the injury bug, or we go on a huge losing streak and just decide to tank (seems unlikely). Barring a trade, and with a healthy rosterm there's simply no minutes for him behind the incumbents. Dick will get a call up before JFL.

After the deadline when Trent is traded along with Siakam.

He would have been perfect back when we had no guards/shooting but since the OG trade we don’t really need him anymore.

I like him because if feels like he fits a mould we've seen, which is that of a rebounding guard who's not a great creator who takes a few years to get his 3pt shot to average. So, he might be nothing, but he also might be a pretty good 4th guard.
