Choose your preferred Indiana package

Post#1 » by ImaBeatDatAzz » Sat Jan 13, 2024 7:51 pm

Personally, im like 60% sure Masai is leaning towards Indiana instead of golden state, so.. choose your package here and why (be realistic)

Fillers: Hield, Bruce brown
Players of interest: Nesmith, mithurin, obi toppin (maybe)
Prospects: Smith, Walker, Nembhard, Jackson

My personal favourite would be:
Hield, Walker, Nesmith -> has everything Masai wants

I wanna make sure RJ keeps playing the 2, where he has a size advantage. So as many 3-4s (who can shoot) as possible should come back for Pascal.

I said Hield, Walker, Nesmith, but it really doesn't matter. I'd take Walker and one of Nesmith and Smith. Ideally we can also grab Rembhard in exchange for Schroder. Give them Schroder, Dick, Porter and Boucher or McDaniels, along with Pascal, and get back as much as possible. "The team needs an enema!"

IQ
RJ
Nesmith
Walker
Scottie

Would be one of the best young cores in the entire league. I’d do without any draft compensation and I don’t care if it’s Hield or Brown as the filler (Hield would be more ideal but I’m cool either way)

Mithurin?

Mathurin isn't going to be traded, there's no way Indiana would be that foolish, but I'd jump at a deal if he was included. I suspect if the Pacers are interested in trading for Siakam, it's probably build around Brown + Nesmith / Smith + Walker.

I don't think Walker makes or breaks a trade for the Pacers, he isn't even a rotation player for them. Masai might try and ask for an additional pick or Nembhard, but I don't think they're getting much else

Indiana would instantly be better too -- But do the Pacers want to pay Siakam?

I like how we keep talking about two players who Indiana is reportedly not interested in including in trades

Keep in kind that Jalen Smith will become a UFA (has a player option this summer for 5 mill he will decline). Obi Toppin will be a RFA this summer, so he will cost money and plays the same position as Barnes.

STILL MISSING ISIAH JACKSON !!!

I like Hield, Walker, Nesmith/I-Jax

Obviously you want as much value as possible, but I voted other. Walker, Hield, Smith

I’m thinking the same thing.

To be honest, as long as we get Nesmith I don’t really care who else (none of the prospects are sure things).

Nesmith is not a high-ceiling prospect but he is a high-floor player that can contribute immediately. He fills a hole in the roster from the OG trade (3D, athletic wing with size) and is signed to a great contract that will allow him to be part of the core moving forward.

I don’t think Indiana should make a trade for Pascal. Too many rotation pieces going out for a team trying to make the playoffs.
Now I HOPE they do want to trade but I think they should aim for a smaller piece at the deadline.

Gotta give to get

The fact those reports keep coming out means they want Siakam but aren’t willing to meet the price…yet

Only way he keeps that size advantage is if the guy we get back has an offensive game and is bigger than rj. It's most likely not happening.

Buddy, walker, Nesmith and nembhard. Opens the door to move buddy for more compensation at the deadline, unless he fits and they can keep him for cheap.

A deal that can "keep giving", with secondary deals similar to the lillard trade would be ideal.

Agreed with this. We need more defense right now. These guys are also capable shooters

Hield/Walker/Nesmith

Easily.

I would've preferred Mathurin had we not traded two of our best wing players (Pascal and OG).

I'm a little confused about Jalen Smith's free agency status. Someone pointed out to me in another he's going to be UFA. I'm pretty sure right now he doesn't come with bird rights. If that's the case I think someone will offer him more than the MLE and he'll be gone.

Realistic trade: Brown, Walker, Nwora and a 2nd

Obviously the best one on the poll has Mathurin and Walker.

Prefer: Hield, Mathurin and Nesmith

Mathurin being in any trade is wishful thinking but I still chose Heild, Walker, Mathurin

Not one of mathurin(less likely) or nesmith? Hard pass. Need nesmith. Also a great defender that is more than just a capable shooter
