no more FVV, Pascal getting the bulk of shots.

I don't know if Barnes will be the guy, and there will be a lot of lows and highs, but at least they giving Barnes every chance to become the player that he could be.

It's all Scottie from now on 4th Q, saw that last night and it was beautiful

Scottie has an unselfish attitude, you can see it from high school and college and in interviews. That's why he does over exert himself demanding the ball in games sometimes until coaches tells him in games in 4Q

He didn't really do anything proactive. I'm glad he decided to pivot, and he was able to extract some value, but it's nothing worth shouting out.

It needed to happen. It should have happened much sooner, but I'm glad we're finally here.

It was almost nearly very last minute and it was something almost everyone saw coming last years deadline. Great it’s done though but I’m not acting like he’s Albert Einstein here

This time last season, or even by the end of the season, we didn't know if Scottie was ready. But it was obvious the first two weeks into this season that Scottie was Him.

Yeah, not sure how you can appreciate him for doing something that was forced on him.

There was a stat trotted out last night that claimed Scottie was one of the league leaders in 4th Q points yet people still think he was stuck in a 'pecking order.' Sorry but these threads are sad and I wish this sadness to go away.

Guys weren't in Scottie's way. He wasn't coming off the bench. He's young.

5 point jump in usage, and it's even higher without siakam, so not sure why you mentioned the 3pt shooting. clear as day he's now getting the opportunity to dictate how we play.

Because in today's NBA, a player isn't a superstar worth handing the keys to the franchise to unless they can shoot at least 36% from 3 on volume. Even Lebron didn't win a championship until he learned to shoot >36% from distance.

Scottie had to prove he could do that. Then Masai felt he could safely build the team around Scottie.

well, we didn't have anyone worth having the keys and they wanted money like they did. So it was the logical option to re stock the cupboard and develop the young guys instead of literally doing the same thing over and over which is what he wanted to do this year.

He didn't get lucky finding Siakam and Fred. He's an excellent scout and he makes good team-building moves when he isn't overly emotional.

Fred's a really good player, and has the Rockets in the playoff hunt. OG's a obviously really good player. We're going to see (again) what a great player Pascal is when he's given spacing to work with, especially from his C. I don't blame Masai for wanting to run it back one more time with a coach who emphasizes ball movement. It's hard to re-acquire players of the level of OG, Fred and Pascal.
