The Rockets are slumping, 5-10 in their last 15. A showdown against the Raps should fix that lol.

I've watched them a couple of times lately and Whitmore can play, there is no doubt about that. Plays with a major chip on his shoulder. I expect they'll continue to give Jalen heavy minutes to keep showcasing him. Could be bad for us if he's on a heater, or good for us if he plays like his usual self.

Missed the Bulls game and watched the replay. Darko FINALLY showed he can be an NBA coach. 1st half was a mess, kept in the game by GTJ's hot shooting (his game planning still needs work). 2nd half adjustments took control of the game. Darko showed for the first time in memory he knows his players, and ability to use them in appropriate matchups: he brought in McDaniel who proved surprisingly effective against Derozan with his length in his bench minutes. Darko was using a trap on DeMar late in 4th that was also effective. He called appropriate timeouts whenever Bulls were making a run (unlike the 1st game of the season where he watched a 20 point lead disappear). There were timely doubles on Vuc when he's in the post. Helps that Vuc and Donovan didn't take advantage of the small Raptors by punishing the paint.

THAT is what wins a lot of NBA games. Coaching and constant adjustments during the game. Not just overall talent. If Darko keeps this up, we may fall out of the lottery. BUT, it's a good thing we don't face Bulls and Billy Donovan every night and Darko will trip up on his own weaknesses for us to stay in the lottery. Yay!

I don’t care about no tank. This is an absolute must win. lol Also was it just me or did Gary seem really quickly shift that post game interview to needing to win the next game? Didn’t really see if that was discussed in the post game thread.

That's not the impression I got, it was more of a generic "every game is important" kind of answer in my opinion.
Anyway this should be a fun game, hopefully some of our starters are back.

Ugh all the FVV trolls are gonna spam the game thread tonight. I should take the night off…

Or … maybe not?

Everytime Barnes is dressed to play against FVV, Raptors should play with the Golden Jersey.

You probably right but I’m going to pretend it’s a grudge match.
