Ouch. But the timeline varies depending on the tear right? I feel like I've seen some recent ones in the timeline of weeks and not months, unless I'm mistaken.

He will get the trim not the repair so 6-8 weeks and he’s back likely. Kind of good news assuming 76ers can stay top 6 without him. He should be fresh for playoffs.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

I don't think a giant like Embiid with an injury-prone history is the type of player to have a fast recovery....his season is likely done.

Even if he comes back for the playoffs he'll be out of shape....and we know that'll just be an excuse once they're eliminated in the 2nd round.

Ooooooooh sh*t!

That reeeeally sucks for PHI! This MIGHT have been the season they finally make a ECF. I'm not sure what the timeline would be for the injury but even if he's back before the Playoffs A) I don't think he'd be 100% & ready to just jump back in at the level he was playing at B) they're gonna fall in the standings so now they're likely getting a tough match up in the 1st rd and it could even be against BOS or MIL.

That's just brutal bad luck.

6ers playing with fire if they try to rush him back this year. With his history it’s pretty much a guarantee he’s going to injure it again if he returns.

Ya I agree a knee injury for a 300 pound 7 footer with a injury history is different than a 20 year old guard or forward that’s never had problems

He cared too much about the MVP race and meeting the 65 game threshold. Likely cost his season.

6ers are so dumb for allowing it to happen

Man I thought Philly had a good chance of making it out the East too.
not strong, only aggresive cuz the power ain't directed/ that's why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive

Big thing to watch for now is how teams react to this with the deadline. Some Eastern teams might see this as a window getting wider and be more willing to pay up for an upgrade

Every single player Embiid has intentionally tried and succeed in injuring throughout his career right now:

Congratulations to the Celtics on winning the east.

Embiid injury, the Doc hiring, it's basically a wrap.

I think 76ers will be more inclined to make trades if they think he’ll be back for the playoffs. They need pieces to fill in while he’s out. Thad Young is ready and waiting to fill in.

That’s a shame. Look like Philly needs Thad Young and Boucher
