He's an underrated acquisition. He's been on plenty of good teams, and particularly Utah. Although Utah isn't a winning team, they are on the uprise and he will bring some leadership elements from that. Barnes has also never played with a stretch big, so that's another big part of adding Kelly to our group. If Barnes 3Pt shooting wasn't a flash in the pan, the paint will also look a lot more open for him.

2 key guys on the Olympic team will get some time to develop more chemistry. Can’t hurt at least

reminds me of Thad Young. We wanted him forever. But now he's 33 and likely past his prime.

Always been a fan. Wish we got him when he was younger, but you can say that about every player. He'll be 33 in April. Can't offer more than 2 years in free agency.

I heard one podcaster say that he's extension eligible right now, but he might have been talking out of his ass. Anyone know if that's actually possible?

I think it would be perfect to extend him to a 2-year $16 million deal right now and not have to worry about that in the summer, but maybe that's a pipe dream (and he may want closer to 10-12 per year anyway).

Woulda loved if we got him 3 years ago when we were allergic to centres.

We need to build team Canada, just missing SGA and few others!

Bobby said he was extension eligible & that the raps could talk to him & gauge interest from both parties. Said it's one of the reason to do trades like this early, get the player into your environment

He's been quite productive this year actually. IMO this is nothing like Thad, but we'll see.

Yep, Thad had been in and out of the lineup in San Antonio when we picked him up. Olynyk has been one of the 3-5 best backup centers in the league this year.

Excited to hear the crowd cheer for him when he enters the game. Always wanted him here since his draft year.

Overall, we needed a bench big. I liked Jontay Porter but he makes so many mistakes to be your primary rim protector. KO should make our defense a bit better and will be a great teacher for Porter who I am high on long-term.

I'd bet he gets extended - Bobby said as much and Kelly wants to play here. He will be leagues better than Thad Young.

KO is going to be huge for our young core. He's the perfect connector piece to have out there.

Excited to have him on the roster, his game reminds me of a very diet-version of D. Sabonis, similarly limited but also very versatile, playmaking and tough bigmen.
