Some confusion here:
“We did have a talk this morning about it. Just brought awareness that him as a leader of the team, he has to be aware of those things.” - Darko on addressing Scottie Barnes’ leadership and leaving the bench early last night
Barnes said no meeting happened.
“We didn’t have no conversation about it,” he said

Just saying - if that meeting did really happen and Scottie is acting like he didn't... he needs to be DNP-CD'd tomorrow to send a message.
In the end, the guy is an at best, fringe all-star player, acting like he is Lebron James. (edit - with potential to be a star before people freak out)

I’m more concerned with him not running back on defence or contesting shots. Good coaches would not allow him to do this sh*t.

Hopefully it's just some confusion, like maybe the coaching staff talked about it internally? I dunno, I'm reaching at straws here.

I mean preferably players would not be needed to be told to play defense or get back. It drove me nuts when DD did it and it drives me nuts now that Scottie does it.

It's funny how Fred, OG, Pascal, Nick Nurse, and Dennis were all at one point or another accused of being the problem, when the problem might have been Scottie.

From all accounts - everyone loves/loved FVV and Siakam as teammates, but suddenly they are just horrible towards Scottie? Just seems unlikely to me.

This is the media trying to stir ****. If you watch it on YouTube, Darko’s interview is great. He makes a lot of really good points. I think Scottie was getting a little defensive. He was asked one question after another about it.
I get the feeling Darko just told Scottie to watch out for video cameras, and that the media will make a big deal out of everything.

I think we tend to overrate things like vibes.
During the title year, our GROAT wasn't talking to our president and there were players who were upset with our superstar because he was getting special treatment...and they still won.
Every team deals with this kind of stuff but when you have the talent to win consistently, it doesn't matter.

My biggest problem was the talent but I'm worried Scottie is the diva here, I truly hope it's not the case for the sake of our team but I sometimes get Dwight Howard and Vince Carter vibes from him, the bad and a bit of their good habits.

Who said they were horrible towards Scottie? There's quite a difference between they're horrible to Scottie, and well, having him as the 5th option on the team doesn't really make sense when we can't even make the playoffs, and would have to pay Siakam and FVV $40 million a year each, plus OG and Trent, then Barnes off his rookie deal, to suck anyways.
