Jordi Fernandez vs the Field ?

I think most ppl believe Darko is in over his head or just too nice to be a head coach in this league. With the influx young talent on the roster over the next few years I’m almost certain mgmt will want a micro manager at the helm

Which brings me to Jordi Fernandez ? He’s helping Sacramento over achieve again in a stacked Western conference plus he’s Team Canadas HC . We have 2 key cdn basketball team members on the current roster and may look to acquire some more like that mvp candidate in okc

Who should we hire next for our Head Coach ? Jordi or the field ?

I hate how Darko always subs out the "hot hand" and gives the longest leash to those struggling. Makes zero sense.

The fact we are having this convo shows how bad the FO f up this team

Cant believe we forced Nurse out with such lack of care for the entire roster construction the last few seasons.

Darko was brought in to be a 'yes man' for the management in an era of dysfunction. I'd say he's doing great and quite honestly our roster is severely lacking the talent required to judge a coach in a league where talent makes or breaks coaches first.

Just fire Darko and hire him before he gets hired elsewhere

Makes more sense if he doesn't care about winning and prioritizes putting players in spots where they can improve or gain reps/confidence.

Unless you're trying to develop kids and tank.

Keep Darko. He's doing what needs doing.

I am not sure Darko is bought in to be a 'yes man', he seems to be a development / tanking coach, while Nurse is the win now coach.
And unsure this is all on front office, as the recent immaturity of Barnes could be the cause of Nurse departure instead of roster construction (Nurse didn't ask for out, and he shouldn't be the one who got fired because of roster construction).

Meanwhile, the reason I bought up Nurse are:
1) Are people wanting to see this team wins? Are they complaining about the minutes the players got?
2) Are people wanting to see this team tank? Are they complaining about the rotation?

Regardless of hiring another coach, they will be identical to either one of the above, yet, people here don't seem to be happy, so what is the expectation?

I like Nurse, yet, I complained the minutes, so I am alright with Darko, and have him show the development progress, which is my evaluation, particularly, Dick is showing some progress.

I found it interesting that the FO took the longest of all the NBA teams (in need of a new coach) to find their coach, after countless interviews, only to end up with Darko.

Jordi could be interesting if he has a good relationship with guys like SGA or Murray.

Doc Rivers, because he's obviously going to get a chance to coach every team in the league.

My gut tells me that Jama gets the next shot, should things not work out with Darko.

This FO doesn’t strike me as the type to pull an Adrian Griffin special. They will likely give Rajakovic another season, knowing they will still be in a rebuilding situation. Firing a coach after 2 seasons won’t burn bridges with future coaches and won’t be as embarrassing to a FO who hired him after an extensive search.

Darko is perfect for the tank and development.

But most importantly, Darko is a rookie head coach and thus far he's completely shown himself to be a rookie head coach making rookie head coach mistakes, which is fine. He can easily grow into the job and improve, or he could flounder. I'm hoping Darko will grow into the job as he's extremely likeable and a refreshing change from cantankerous curmudgeon Nick Nurse and his unprofessional tendency to start fist fights with assistant coaches and repulse Scottie.

It makes sense if his mandate is to improve the players. Winning might not be #1 priority. Hard to read the current situation.

Sacramento has a much better roster than the raptors. Searching for a new head coach a few months in is a new low for this fanbase. even lower than claiming he's too nice when you don't know how he runs his team you sit on a coach.
