Would love to see a lineup where we get all of our best screeners in there and just screen the heck out while running Rip Hamilton actions for Gradey Dick.
I'm just so happy we have someone who can utilize that mid range jumper at an elite rate

Olynyk passes so well to Gradey. I don't think Poeltl is able to make those nifty passes to him.

Honestly, good things happen when Dick handles the balls. Give it to him more often.

We should be tanking, benching Trent Jr, and starting Gradey.
There is no incentive (other than revenue) to be trying to win games, it's favorable for everyone including the coaches. You can add 2 first round talents instead of just 1.

He’s gonna be a good player in this league. Potentially a great player. It’s interesting because you look at a guy like Whitmore and wonder how much of an impact he can make with that style? He’s talented and athletic but he would have to be exceptionally efficient out there in order to make a big impact. He needs to learn to play more within the offense. Gradey won’t ever be able to do the things Whitmore can do with the ball but there is a chance he will impact winning more.

I can't believe he's going to finish the season at 40% from 3.

Seeing Dick's growth this season has been pretty exciting.

I mean, Gary is good for the tank. Gradey is much better than he is.

Continues to make a case for more playing time. Love how automatic he is from those corners now.
Should be featured way more with Scottie out

I'm torn on tanking. On one hand getting Salaun and Ivisic, my favorite prospects, would be great for our team moving forward. If those picks are hits, it would categorize us with the Magic and Pacers as upcoming teams. But then having young rookies on this team likely means we end up being terrible next season and giving up a first rounder to the Spurs.

He might actually finish with a 50/40/90 season.
That's insane....
His per 36 point total is up to ~15ppg.

There's not much point anymore. They can't out-tank any of the bottom 5 teams and even catching Memphis would still mean over 50% chance of losing the pick.

This was my post in the Predict Barnes' statline thread back in August:
Dick I think will average around 8ppg, 2 3's a game and a floater or pull up somewhere in there. Similar to GTJ's year 2 in POR. (8/2/1 on 44/39/85)
So he's actually getting pretty close to what I thought his season line was going to be. The efficiency prediction is almost spot on with the only miss being on the FT%. I suspect that 6.5ppg will also increase towards the end of the season. Dick currently only at 1.2 3pg too, but it's increasing. Gotta give myself a pat on the back for pretty much nailing this prediction.
For fun here are my other predictions though, with varying success
On Barnes:
I actually don't think his scoring will go up by that much. I do think with more touches he will get more assists. I don't see his efficiency changing much either. I'll go with 16.5/7.5/7.3/1.1/0.9 on 47/30/78.
Real stats: 18.8/8.2/6.1/1.3/1.5 on 47.5/34.1/78
Barnes scored a bit more and assisted a bit less than I expected, and his blocks were a nice surprise. Of course his hot 3pt shooting to start was unexpected by most, but has since cooled - if he kept playing the rest of the season I think the 3p% would've continued to go down. I think I was pretty close on this prediction other than the 3p% and blocks. A lot obviously changed with the trading of OG and Siakam.
Fred's 19 points will get redistributed somehow. I suspect there will be more focus on getting the ball to shooters (ie ball movement) and less on iso play. So the guys that would be benefit the most in terms of raw scoring output would be the shooters:
Siakam gets 3 as the clear focus on O, just by virtue of being our best player and going for All-NBA (27ppg).
OG gets 3 (20ppg) as one of our most efficient shooters and a larger role on O.
Trent gets 2 as the main guard/3pt threat (19ppg) in more of a catch and shoot role, I think he has a smaller increase in ppg than OG who can get more garbage buckets and may be asked to initiate some.
Siakam regressed and only got to 22.2ppg despite no Fred. Disappointing.
I thought OG would get close to 20ppg, but he regressed to 15, which was also disappointing.
Trent regressing HARD to 11.8ppg is obviously one of the biggest season disappointments too.
