Hope he starts to scale up on the # of 3's he takes. Have not fallen so far but 3.7 per 36 is not enough.

This deal is a lower % of the cap than the deal he is on right now

$13m isn’t much in NBA anymore, but is full MLE

2 years full MLE type deal it looks like:

This year MLE year 1= $12.4m
Cap rising next year by ~3.7% = $12.9 Year 1 Salary
5% raise for year 2 = $13.5 year 2 Salary
Total = 2 years / ~$26.5m

No discount but I guess they got the 2 year term whereas they could have argued someone could have tossed him a 3rd year in the open market. This I think pretty much confirms their first option is to operate above the cap next year, the trade allows them to do 2 full MLE deals.

This is great. We got 5 picks over the next 3 drafts. One of them will be a center and we are likely set at that position for a long time. If that pick comes sooner than later we could still trade poetl who is a useful piece for alot of contenders/friends contenders.

Still such a shame about koloko but that's life.
