On Basketball Reference they have a Hall of Fame monitor. Chauncey Billups was at 84.4% chance of going in and has now been chosen.

Kyle Lowry is as at 85.7% chance of going in the Hall. I think Chauncey being selected makes Kyle a shoe in for the Hall. What ya think?

Of course Lowry is a good HoF Candidate. He was instrumental in a string of 50+ win seasons and a chip.

Almost too easy to get in when you win a championship. I don't think he deserves the HOF nod.

I'd say Jimmy Butler should be a HOF even if he never wins a championship.

If Scottie wins 1 championship, he should be in the HOF. lol

If Sixers (finally) make a long playoff run and Lowry plays as well as he did in the Finals last year, then it's a done deal.

the GROAt gets in no matter what. that's the way of the NBA HoF. and i'll be happy for him no doubt. but in reality neither he nor billups nor half the other guys in there should get in. look at baseball. so many GREAT players never get in. you make it to cooperstown you are truly a legend. you make it to the NBA HoF you were just a really good player who had a good career.

Don't forget that Olympic gold, that always goes a long way.

Billups is a finals MVP and made the conference finals 7 years in a row.

I don't think Butler really deserves it either.

Imo to make the HoF you should be annually in the 1st All NBA, 2nd All NBA discussion at minimum in your prime and make a decent amount of teams.

You don't always have to be voted, but should always be in the race for that in your prime.

It's really a solution of 'I shouldn't need to think about it if you qualify for the HoF'.

A lot of mediocre players in the hall. I have no issue with Billups and Lowry getting in.

Yes, Chauncey getting in means Lowry will get in. It was very likely Kyle was getting in after the chip and the bubble season cemented it. He was too big of a part of the NBA story for too long, and as we know narrative counts for a lot.

It's not just MLB, the Hockey and Pro Football HOF are extremely difficult to get into as well.

For whatever reason, Basketball is just really lax with their standards. Having 5 or 6 years at All-Star level play and enough longevity is usually enough to get in. Demar is going to easily get in for instance.

Lowry won't get in.
