Better FA backup PG

I think you could get more total production from C Payne given same minutes.
KLow if he wanted to mentor a young backcourt players would add that Vet ability while still giving good mins off bench and retire Raptor.

Tell me who you select and why or give me a better name? Assuming both would get about $7-8 mil?

J F-L can still be 3rd PG option or even SB if we have more depth at PF.

Not opposed to Lowry, but would also be happy with Kris Dunn from Utah. Good defense, and has finally learned to shoot. Price should be similar range.

There is a Flynn guy who just put 50 points coming from the bench.

And he has gone 1-19 with 6 points in 2 games since.

I'm thinking/hoping there is some green font missing

Delon Wright is another option for veteran leadership. Has some chemistry w/ Poeltl too

With Barnes (and I worry RJ) being average or worse shooters, we really have no room for more of that. Delon is great, but Delon cant be a top 2/3 shooter in a lineup

Somebody really cheap, because Raps have to spend whatever money they have on forwards who can shoot. Our SF-PF depth has been eradicated.

There are actually a lot of FA guards this year. I could see us taking a bigger swing given all the cap space. Maybe a big overpay on a 2-3 year deal.

Ideally our backup pg has to be able to play with pace and run the court.

That said, all i care about is our backup pg being able to execute in the half court and mentor Quick.

So lowry it is.

I'd be surprised.

After years of neglecting shooting, I think it becomes the biggest requirement for the Raptors. We'll see though.

I want two or three guys on rookie contracts competing for back up guard minutes. Zero reason to add Lowry or Payne who have both maxed out their potential.

During the FA livestream before Schroder signed, I said we should take a look at Russell at the MLE, but that it might not be enough because he'd get a deal around $18-20m. I was laughed at by "Amateur Hour Sports" because A) he said he was horrible, and b) the AAV was way too much, like, by double.

Yeah, I'm petty.

Kolek at 31 could be the best back up PG option imo
