2024 NBA Draft Lottery | TODAY! @3pm EST | Update: Raptors Convey 8th Pick to Spurs

The Toronto Raptors finished with a 25-57 record and subsequently have the sixth-best pre-lottery odds of landing the No. 1 pick. A top prospect joining a now-rebuilding core would be an ideal consolation for the tumultuous season Toronto just had, however, they owe the San Antonio Spurs a top-six protected pick for the deal to acquire Jakob Poeltl.
If the Raptors end up with one of picks 7-14 the selection goes to the Spurs, but if they land between 1-6 they keep the pick and the conditional selection gets conveyed to 2025. Toronto has a nine per cent chance of landing the No. 1 pick, 37.2 per cent odds of slotting into the top four and a 45.8 per cent shot of staying in the top six and keeping their pick.

I still don't know which outcome I prefer, I'm okay with whatever happens
Keeping the pick certainly makes this draft more exciting though

Gimme the pick.
The core will get better and we’ll be a play in team at least next season. This draft will be our last batch of prospects for a while as we’ll start making win now moves starting next summer, after a surprisingly good season

I watched all 82 games of this season and it would be nice to get a pick out of it so it wasn’t a complete waste of time lol.

the possibilities have been known and discussed for weeks here. beaten like a dead horse.
i think it would be silly if anyone goes nuts if we lose the pick. there's a high chance that happens and everyone here already knows that but you're right, having control of emotions is a tough ask here.

We can get the 1st pick and begin to turn things around as soon as next year or we can give the 7th Pick to the Spurs and have absolutely nothing to show for a trainwreck of a season.
I'd say there's an obvious win vs lose scenario in play here lol.
