Re: All-NBA Announced
To have these supermax contracts and the new 2nd apron rules means your home grown players winning awards like sneaking onto 3rd team nba can really hurt team building. Even with OKC where Shai obviously deserves it, you might be staring down another supermax or two soon. Haliburton at supermax and supposedly maxing Pascal puts the Pacers up against it almost immediately. This system is wrong. The supermax is fine but I feel like the salary for luxury tax, apron purposes should be recorded as regular max so teams aren’t punished for drafting and developing well.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
Please advise….

Has there ever been 4 non-Americans voted in at the same time for the first team?

There should be tiers of it tbh. Guys making 1st all-nba vs 3rd all-nba should have some contract implications. ****, add 5 all-nba teams and have it scale down slightly depending on accolades.
No reason Siakam and Jokic should have the same max.
Side benefit - players would have incentive to suit up every night

Wow, those super max numbers are insane.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

These numbers are ridiculous. Good for them (NBA and players).

Well it just means no more than two of these guys per team... Talent will be spread out a lot more, and teams will have to make serious cuts when guys start to really get good coming off those rookie deals... I'm looking at you OKC, you're on the clock now!

2025 would have been wild if they let a 60 million increase happen. Warriors ruined it for everyone. lol. We would have had like 120 million in cap space to resign scottie.

Indiana is gonna have very little money left after Halliburton's supermax and Siakam's max. They're gonna have to sell off their players as soon as next year

You got to really start thinking about team building now. I love SGA, but with that $80 million a year you need to start thinking if three $25+ million dollar player might produce more. Heck why not two $35-40 million dollar players for his price and fill out your roster with high quality players at every position?
The next few season will be wild! Masai and Bobby better be stocking up on cheap talents on rookie deals, we need that goated scouting era back NOW!

As crazy as it might seem, Shai will be worth that amount of money, because he is the only one on OKC that showed he could deliver in the clutch.
The key for OKC will be what they pay Chet and JDub, and whether those two can develop into the stars needed to win a championship.

$80M for a season is an incomprehensible amount.
