Pessimism is all around these days I wonder how we stack up this season compared to the other 3 in terms of 'worst'.

I'm going with the Tampa year, we can all bitch about the past 3 years, especially with the Yak trade however in that year we didn't have any blue chip prospect to build our hopes on (in the season). We were actually in a worse situation than we are now and the reasons why it's probably not looked as bad as it may be now is 2019 wasn't 'that' far away and we lucked out in the draft.

I'd still pick it though as would you rather have a disappointing season with a young player that you can build with the next season, or merely have a chance at getting that player with a team that probably treadmills the next season regardless if you don't land him?

Definitely Tampa but not because of the on-court product.

If we’re talking about the worst display of basketball it was probably the 22/23 season where we sucked AND were also the most boring team in the league.

22/23

Nurse's last season was a dumpster fire: everyone seemed miserable, games weren't really watchable, completely directionless and no identity. Nurse was a toxic buffoon behind the scenes, ignoring and freezing out players and getting into a fist fight with Earl Watson.

Tampa gets a pass cause it was Tampa, 22-23 was awful. From the FO decisions, to the on court product, and the end result. Just garbage all over.

As a season seat holder I really didn't like this past season. Pretty unwatchable product the last two months.

22/23. Going for the play in, not selling, giving up 3 picks for pending UFA Poeltl, while being in a good tank position at that time has led the franchise to its current state.

this past season doesn't count or I dont count it as worst because I expected the product to be terrible due to the quality of players on the court. But 22/23 with that quality of players on the court the basketball was ugly and yes, selfish - even my 9 year-old daughter at the time was commenting on that up until the play-in game where they missed 50% of their free throws.

The season before they didn't even give out a shirt for the play in game man, just brutal that year

The last two seasons were the worst I've seen. I also care less after 2019 so I've discovered the self-respect of not following the team like it's my job anymore.

It's tough all together.

2019/2020 -
-you couldn't go away from the guys we had, after a championship.
-playing wellgong into the shut down
-bubble struggle

2020/2021-
-pandemic, move to Tampa, had more to do with just getting through with what we had, for the most oart
-harder on the families

2021/2022-
-Return home
-fans/media are loving Pascal and Fred, who knows what happens if you trade

2022/2023-
-You have to give Pascal and Fred one more chance, to prove to fans these guys aren't it, even though you're better off with a small chance at Wemby.

2023/2024-
-finally break it down mid-season,
-probably getting more stuff done in practice, for next season.

It's more than just the on court production, it's the fans and media attachment.

We went 7-1 before the bubble playoffs and then swept the Nets so we were 11-1 going into the series with the Celtics, and we were a bounce or two away from beating them in 7 games as well.

Actually the only team we lost to at all in the bubble were the Celtics. Basically if Pascal had picked up a basketball during the lockdown we may have managed to get to the finals.

That was one of the best seasons in Raptors history probably. It was great seeing the team succeed without Kawhi.

I heard argument or verbal disagreement, never fist fight. Is that actually true?

This thread needs a poll.

2022/2023 - Masai refused to believe a FVV + PS led team was barely 0.500 and forced this franchise to compete, costing this rebuild at least 2 full seasons.

22/23 was honestly only enjoyable because of the guys on the roster - the pecking order (Scottie, OG, Pascal, FVV)

2023 was the worst but 2024 was the strangest.

Hoffa. Tampa. Ben Uzoh. Weems. Papes. This one. So many bad memories lol.

The season where we traded draft assets in a win now move that hasn't translated into any post season success in that season and the next.

2022-2023. Just an awful season in terms of how much it set us back.

Like a horrible car wreck in slow motion, half of the witnesses screaming “nooooo” as it happened and other half of the witnesses cheering it on.

The year where we actively tanked to eventually improve the Spurs' pick.
