if wiggins chooses not to play for the national team, the optics of bringing him to the Raptors is no bueno. Just my two cents.

He might not play for the national team though if he feels he did not earn the spot, by committing for the 3 summers (or whatever the commitment was) like the other players did.

I believe the article mentioned that, where they would need to check with the other players first before extending the invite to him.
