Love this for OKC, they didn't want to offer Giddey a big extension. His three point shooting isn't there.

I like this move for both teams.

OKC get a great defender, signed to a reasonable deal this year and they don't need to extend Giddey for big bucks (they need to save money for their core 3).

CHI gets a young player whose underachieved a bit lately but still has some potential to improve. Chicago needs to get younger overall and start building up their young asset base.

They needed someone to guard Luka or Kyrie.

Love this for OKC. Josh giddey is the most unserious and non intense player I’ve watched in a playoff game. This guy was flicking his hair in the middle of defensive possession and can’t stay in front of anyone.

Caruso will be awesome whether he starts or comes off the bench. Perfect fit!

Makes sense. Giddey wasnt goign to last in OKC with his contract coming up. Fit wasn't there anymore for them either. Caruso is a nice depth piece and can defend

Wow I like this trade for both sides.

OKC gets a serviceable defender for guards and a more veteran presence. Chicago maximizes on a role players value and gets a former #6 pick in a good draft to add a prospect to their soon to be rebuilding team

Trading a recent 6th overall pick for Caruso isn't great in the grand scheme of things, Presti would've rather hit on that pick, but Presti corrected the mistake.

Bulls are dumping Lavine for as little future money as possible and rebuilding. So Demar is likely going elsewhere too. I think Bulls have entered the tank off.

Giddey sucks. But he’s young and has SOME upside.

Caruso will be 30 and is gonna fit in nicely with OKC.

If that were the case they would have taken draft picks in a trade. They are retooling like the raptors, not intending to bottom out.

GREAT trade by the Bulls IMO.

SGA/Caruso is an unbelievably good defensive backcourt. Love it for OKC.

Giddey is meh. He'll be a decent tank commander for them. I think his flaws will hold him back from ever being a key piece on a championship team. You don't see too many champions with poor shooting/poor defending big minute players in their rotation.

Just a straight swap is crazy. Bulls won that deal.
