Yak is the only remaining vet on the team. Masai is probably trying to save face by not trading him yet, considering the king's ransom he paid to get him, but whether or not he trades him doesn't have much impact on a rebuild. The most we'd get for him in a trade is a late first.

eh. At least a year late, but they did move siakam and OG for young players and 1st rounders and theres really only 1 more vet remaining on the roster that has any real value (Poeltl). The FO can sabotage the rebuild, sure, but by all indications, the rebuild has already started. All of our featured players are 24 and younger

Why is this a thread? He says this all the time. Aaron Rose is as close to a bot as a reporter can be.

I'm still keeping an open mind that he can turn things around. He did win that championship and has earned that modicum of trust. And he knows that his legacy is on the line here too or he's just gonna be thought of as another Dumars that fell off.

But he's gotta get this off-season right. Let's see if the shift in cores makes a material difference. So far, he's got the OG trade right and the Siakam trade will depend on what he does with these draft picks. He took a risk on the Obaji as a piece and we'll see if he can at least be a worthwhile bench contributor.
