Vezenkov is considering to leave the NBA

Nothing new, the player already at the Kings wanted to go to Greece, this trade didn't excite him and he would prefer to be released.
As for the Raptors, they would easily accept this decision.
I honestly believe that Ujiri took Vezenkov in that trade, also for this reason.
So, bye bye Sasha.
UPDATE:
Sasha Vezenkov:
"I'm a Toronto Raptors player right now. I'll have to see what they want from me. It's going to be a long summer and all I care about right now is being healthy."

Would this get us off part of his contract? I don't know these work when a player leaves to another league.

Plenty of undrafted talent to fill the roster spot. Sounds good to me.

he cant just leave, raptors will have to agree to buyout or release him, in which case what ever amount agreed to stays on cap
and yes this has been reported since end of season, but it was unclear if Vezenkov was wanting to leave nba or the kings. i guess we will find out soon.
https://www.eurohoops.net/en/nba-news/1682622/sasha-vezenkov-sacramento-kings-nba-europe-euroleague/#google_vignetteAccording to Eurohoops sources, the 28-year-old forward has informed the team about his intention to leave. It is yet to be decided if he will seek another opportunity somewhere else in the NBA or if he will return to Europe. Last year, he signed a three-year 20-million contract, which is guaranteed for the first two seasons.

Technically he has to be bought out, since this year is guaranteed. He can't sign in another league until his NBA contract is cleared. How much money he gives back in the buyout is up to negotiation. Not sure if he is allowed to speak to an international team to get a feeling for how much salary he would make there but that's a very mild form of tampering that I think everyone should be ok with.

He is not a long-term piece anyway. Despite his age, I would not conder him a "vet" either. So no big deal at all, let him go.

I'd like to see him stay, but won't care that much. We are clearly trying to develop young players and he ain't that. I think he would be great with Kelly in the second unit. But this deal was clearly about Davion and a pick to get the kings under the tax.

Pathetic.
He failed in the NBA once so threw in the towel instead of seeing if he was in a bad system and could flourish under another one at least once. See ya, I guess.

Even if it saves us 1-2M I'd be good with it. I'm assuming he can make at least that much going back to Europe as a former MVP. No idea what the salaries are like over there.

Ehhh I'd be a bit disappointed to only get that much back. The remainder is completely dead salary that we can't trade or do anything with except stretch to make it less per year over more years. He can kick rocks if he doesn't want to give back 50% of the salary, personally.

Money and the nba isnt everything
Potentially think about it from his perspective.
One year ago, he had a perfect life. Then he moved to sacramento….

Yeah that's fair, I wasn't considering that he can be used as salary in further trades.

I don't even understand why he'd be able to keep any of his remaining contract if he's the one deciding to leave... The contract should just be terminated and remaining salary waived.

Each side has enough leverage to make that not realistic.

Someone reported he's not leaving. Who really knows? He just got traded to the North American Europe.

i think if he comes over from Sacramento to Toronto and sees the city etc, it might change his mind. who knows. probably missing home.
there is definitely a lot PT available once they get rid of Brown and Boucher.
