I can't believe this is something the players union would even allow. Is there something in contracts that lets this happen? This is pretty silly. Your coach literally coaches a team, while your star player is playing for said team. Absolutely crazy if true.

What would happen if Wiggins just said, F' it, I'm going?

If they want to move him anyways, why should he cooperate with their demands?

If I recall correctly, NBA teams cannot prohibit their players from participating.

This is an excerpt from an official 2007 NBA memo sent to every team in the league:

"This is a reminder that, under the NBA's agreement with FIBA, NBA teams are required to permit their players to play in certain major national-team competitions, provided that adequate insurance is obtained. These include the Olympics, world championships, continental championships [such as the European Championships], and relevant qualifying tournaments. The NBA/FIBA agreement also provides that NBA teams may not take any steps that are intended to deter players from playing in such competitions.”

He sucks, but he's still an NBA player. That's a dick move by the Warriors. They're still salty about 2019.

Isn't that a conflict of interest....head coach of USA is Kerr....he can just pull a player off another team like that.

Never thought Wiggins deserved a spot on the Olympic team anyway after not playing his entire career.

He's played more for Canada than most on this training camp roster.

Different circumstances obviously but this is a very bad look on the organization to be allowing Curry to play and not Wiggins.

The guy's career just feels like a mess salvaged by the 2022 title.

What are you talking about? Wiggins has played for Team Canada more than Shai/Murray and most of the other roster.
