I would have preferred Trent /MLE over Bruce Brown but I guess this means more time to Gradey / Ja’Kobe
Trent need to play more than Bruce to have an impact
That is the problem with Trent . He is not good coming off the Bench .

We can still flip Boucher to a team into their MLE and/or buyout the new Euro from Sac. Using the MLE on a young backup Center (Smith) should be a priority for us. Trent is probably gone either way.

I've never felt he was coming back. It's not like they could only sign him now. They've had ample time to sign him and it never materialized, despite us hearing it was imminent last summer.

Are some of you really naive enough to think they like Bruce Brown so much they let Gary walk & lost the MLE?!?
You don't think that they have something in mind that they believe exceeds those things in value??!
The same guy they continue to OPENLY speak about trading at every turn?! like Yeeesuz how far does you head have to go up your backside to see how dumb that sh*t is lol

He is either going to Detroit or Orlando on a short term overpay in all likelihood. I do have my eye on Miami dumping Tyler Herro to set up space for next year as a capspace team given the Jimmy situation. I'd do Brown, Portland 2nd 2025 for Herro, Ware but they don't seem to ever do anything so desperate even when they seem kind of cornered.

So we lost Norm Powell for nothing?

Brown is going to get moved, hopefully into space. Once that's done, we can bring back GTJ or we can always S&T him, my preferred outcome anyway.

We took a gamble on a younger player, got 3+ years of service. Sometimes when you trade for a younger guy it doesn't pan out.
The things you will latch on to.

Gary's gone. No one is taking BB into space and giving us an asset while doing so. We're going to take commensurate salaries back.
So either they already have a deal that they think is better than bringing GTJ back + whatever the MLE can do OR they know Gary's asking price/value and want no part of it. Maybe a combination of both. Really, once they used the Siakam TPE to get Mitchell and the 2 picks, if they chose to pick up Brown's option, it meant Gary was gone.

Norm was part of the Grevious Vazquez trade which also brought us OG. So if you want to connect things like this, the correct response is that Grevis Vazquez has now brought us RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickly, and Jonathan Mogbo.

The irony is the ones complaining are the ones who most loudly yell "THE DRAFT!"
Just the reality of young players. Most disappoint.

The minimum being $7.5 is interesting because that’s the max they can take back above BB salary

It is possible that there are no interested teams now but they are still betting there will be an interested team at the deadline. I hope not, but it is possible. I really don't think they value Gary.

I lost my 90 year old grandma for nothing a few years back, I still regret not trading her for a few late picks before her value plummeted.
