I hope BB and picks (coming our way) are involved.

This Bruce Brown trade might drag all the way until training camp. It’s best to forget about it for the time being.
Bobby’s currently on the beach getting drunk with his friends.

“The Dallas Mavericks have considered bringing one of two former guards back to the team, Spencer Dinwiddie and Dennis Smith Jr, league sources told HoopsHype…Should Dinwiddie and Smith Jr. land elsewhere, Malachi Flynn is also on Dallas’ radar, HoopsHype has learned. Flynn scored a career-high 50 points last season with Detroit.”

They want him at the minimum. He’s done that a few times and now Detroit has saved him. Once you are a minimum guy it is hard not to continue being one.

The Pels need to cut salary and also get a center in this reporting is likely directly tied to their Ingram decision, but it's the absolute perfect scenario for a Jak/Boucher for CJ's 2 year bad contract trade.
I get the Pels (I assume) thinking here that they simply don't want to give up picks to both move off of CJ and fix their roster holes long term. And why they'd rather play the long game by moving Ingram. But if there isn't a suitable Ingram trade and they end up signing him the CJ trade basically has to happen first.

I think our FO misread the BB situation. They should have just taken the 2024 1st rounder offered last season. Instead they waited for a better return and stuck again with their d*cks in their hands. Under the new CBA, BB's contract is a net negative to any organization. No one is gonna offer a first for him. If anything, they will have to attach a draft pick to trade him. This is like Dragic 2.0.

It's also an easy asset that at minimum could get them a second rounder at the deadline with a good season, and possibly more. These are the small moves like the McD trade we made that nets you value. It's free real estate!

We might have to brace ourselves for Brown to be here until the deadline. I hope to God not, but it's so strange we haven't moved this guy yet.

They were over the luxury tax with Dragic. Not the case here.
5-8m in salary relief is returning 2-3 second round picks.
At the trade deadline what could upwards of 30m from a BB trade return? I don’t know the answer.
Patience really is key. Oh and the trade market is really going to open up once the deals from draft night and FA signed go through this afternoon.

Or a three team deal with salary/picks to Toronto, Ingram to another team, Poeltl to Pels.
I’m curious what happens with Ayton.
