How do you think Team Canada would perform in the East?

It's an interesting team. They have some stars and really solid glue guys, but they're lacking size.

Edit:
Let's assume Wiggins and Edey are on the team for this experiment.

They’d be pretty bad.

The national team is looking good because we’re finally in a position to cut NBA players, but do you know who else has a lot of NBA players? NBA teams.

Well, OKC was the #1 seed in the west. And I don't think that lineup is better than Team Canada.

SGA / Murray / Wiggins / Brooks / Dort / Barrett are 6 guys who are not just NBA players, but NBA starters. Of that list you have an MVP candidate, a former all-star (Wiggins), and then Murray who IMO is an all-star caliber player.

Then you have Mathurin / Clarke / Nembhard / Olynyk / Sharpe / Powell who are everyday NBA players.

Then the great unknown with a guy like Edey

I am confused how they would be "pretty bad".

SGA / Nembhard / NAW
Murray / Dort / Mathurin
Wiggins / Barrett / Sharpe
Brooks / Clarke / Boucher
Edey / Olynyk / Powell

That would be the best bench and best 3rd stringers in the league. Oh, and an MVP in the starting lineup. Depth alone would let them coast all RS long as make the playoffs winning 50+ games every year. Then come playoffs SGA would be a beast.

Biggest issue would be size, but if Edey is legit that concern is gone to.

Edit: I guess I assumed when OP said Wiggins/Edey are here he meant every NBA Canadian would be.

You're always coming in here without any sources or anything and I'm sick of it. Prove your claims or don't make them!

First round exit, maybe 2nd if we get a favourable match up against the Pacers or Magic.

Our big rotation is pretty damn rough lol.

If we have our full complement of players, including Wiggins, Edey etc, I think they get out of the east. Although, it would be close with BOS.

Edey
Wiggins
Brooks
Murray
SGA

That's a strong, balanced starting lineup with a deep bench of Barrett, Dort, KO, Powell, NAW, Mathurin, Nembhard and Sharpe.

Nah. we're better than that. Our number 1 was MVP runner up, number 2 was the number 2 on a championship team, Wiggins was a number 3 on a championship team and RJ may have surpassed him. Brooks, Dort, NAW are all playoff team contributors and great defenders. You can't tell me the Canadian team isn't as good as last years Thunder Team. The size would be an issue but they're not smaller than OKC was last year, and they are deeper/ have a better number 2 than last years OKC team.

Chet is probably more valuable though just as a center who can space and defend the rim, something the Canadian team would severely lack.

They'd finish 1st in the east just off depth alone.
Playoffs they'd only struggle with size against Embiid so at minimum they conference finals

We would legit have the worst rim protection in the league.

Powell and Kelly are terrible at it lol. We would get obliterated in the playoffs.

Our big man rotation would be dreadful. If we had a competent big man we would do damage in the East though.

Bigs are a problem. We'd do well in the regular season and be a top 3 seed off the back of stellar guard play and depth. I think we could make the conference finals, because I think we can outshoot Philly, trading 3s for 2s. Against MIL we could shut Lillard down, and again trade 3s for 2s against Giannis. BOS I think is a problem though. ECF is likely, but I don't know if that teams gets out of the East.

Bigs and shooting.

There's a lot of talent, they just don't really fit together as an NBA team.

It's a conference title team at min. Clear hole at C but otherwise, what's not to like? A superstar, one of the best complementary players beside him, a bunch of good defenders and situational scorers.
