Updated the title to reflect who this is.
Since it's the offseason, I think we can leave it open?

I've been waiting to hear the news Shapiro is being canned all season. Heck, I wanted Atkins gone after last year but since he was kept on, both Shapiro/Atkins need to gtfo.

I'm almost willing to give Shapiro a pass because of the renos, the clear aim to get the ASG etc.
But he is also still supporting Atkins and the team is a hot mess with zero on field product and no future coming up from the minors.
If your onfield product sucks, you have to have a good minor league system. This team has neither and yet nobody is fired.

The most important aspect to any team is it's on field product. Shapiro should go into Construction since that's all he's done for the past 9 years.
If you win, fans show up. If you suck, fans don't show up. It's really that simple in sports unless you're lucky to work for a team like the Leafs/Cowboys/Yankees.
The amount of money spent on their Florida complex, which has yielded nothing thus far, and on the Rogers Center should be embarrassing for Rogers and yet everyone's still here lol.

I’ve stopped watching the Blue Jays all together but I’m hoping they lose a sh*t load of games from now till the end of the season.

Not surprising when TFC lost to the Forge last night, which is just simply embarrassing.
Like if the Jays lost to a Triple A team. They also have won't won a game since May
I doubt this changes much at all in the short-term. I don't have any confidence in the MAGA nepobaby being able to hire a capable head of football operations for TFC

I was legitimately mad when Ed Rogers chose Shapiro over AA like a decade ago.
Who in their right mind would trust the Cleveland braintrust to run a team in a more competitive division?? They were thoroughly mediocre in the Central for a long time.
I actually stopped watching after the Josh Donaldson trade and when Atkins let Bautista and EE walk for nothing.
You guys think the Raptors fumbled a rebuild? The Jays executed a masterclass in blowing up a team for nothing and then taking NINE YEARS to be stuck in the same place, with a weaker farm system.

The Blue Jays have a guy in charge who started a major renovation project. I just can't see them let this guy go in the middle of it.
And the biggest issue is, this guy looks like he just won't fire. Atkins As a combo, they have done pretty much the worst job you could do with the team that AA left them. No one could have expected this team to be this bad while having one of the worst systems in MLB.
At this stage it's so bad, you almost need MLB to step in. I have never seen a baseball team's GM get this many chances to fail over and over again. They have destroyed everything AA built.

That was mad. Soon as AA got wind they hired Shapiro, he just handed in his resignation.
That Shapiro/Atkins duo has been as effective as a chocolate plastic toy in a heatwave.

Shapiro needed to stay in his lane. Be the commercial guy who brings in money for Rogers. Let AA do his baseball ting.
Mans wants to be the commercial and baseball guy. Doesn't work like that. Surely, Atkins can't be this stupid either. Shapiro just pulling strings, and Atkins is the frontman trotted out to the public to do his dirty work for all the failures.

The problem is shap and Ross are like brothers. Would it be hard to can your brother? He'll probably give him another job inside the organization. That is until shap gets the boot.

8th highest payroll, last place with one of the worst farm systems in the majors. And this turd chewed out Anthopolous for trading prospects to build the last two good teams this franchise had. What a joke. Buy in typical Toronto fashion, people still go to games and support the team so why change anything if the money keeps rolling in? After all we all know that all Rogers cares about

Do you guys remember that awkward few weeks or months when Shipiro kept AA on but it was clear he was trying to push him out without actually pulling the trigger. He busted AA’s decisions to use draft capital on win now players “leaving the cupboard bare”! At least those teams made the playoffs, were fun and hard playing. Also, didn’t AA and his staff draft Vlad and Bichette? What has this front office done other than spend money on obviously much needed renovation of an old building?

Ironically, the cupboard is now more bare than a struggling onlyfans artist's kitchen fridge. She doesn't have a pantry.

Ed Rogers backdoored and pushed out AA's mentor, Beeston, as President and AA, of course, didn't to work within those parameters.
All the issues start with ownership. They do the hiring/firing at the top level and who has confidence that they'll hire the right people to fix things even if Shatkins and the managers/coaches get fired?
I hate linking to the Sun, but they summised the situation perfectly

Ed Rogers, deputy chairman of Rogers Communications, phones White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf to ask for permission to hire Williams
“I asked, ‘For what position?’ ” Reinsdorf said Friday from Chicago. “Edward said, ‘For Paul Beeston’s job.’ ”
It could be pointed out here that Rogers’ knowledge of the baseball landscape was so deep, he did not know Beeston and Reinsdorf were best friends.
Reinsdorf said he told Rogers he would talk to Williams and call back.
“I called Paul and he was shocked,” Reinsdorf said. A few days later, they talked again. Beeston told Reinsdorf he had talked to the Rogers people.
So, Reinsdorf decided not to call back Ed Rogers.
